RoNin~ i checked out some of the bands in your post ,didnt like any of them guess iam to old LOL [bold] LED ZEPPELIN ,BLACK SABBATH ,DEEP PURPLE ,CREAM AND UFO [/bold] will do for me lol
I haven't seen any live acts yet, but maybe I'll check one out the next time I get a good chance to. As for bands, I don't know if a few of these count as "bands", but I like: Black Sabbath, Live, A Perfect Circle, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Coheed & Combria, Coldplay, Daft Punk (if you consider them a band), Disturbed, Depeche Mode (back in the early years), Evanescence, Fates Warning, Fleetwood Mac, Gato Barbieri, HellOween, Iron Maiden, Jack Johnson, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, Malice Mizer, Megadeth, Papa Roach, Pink Floyd, Queen, Radiohead, Ratt, Rob Zombie, Sade, Santana, Saosin, Sensefield, SevenDust, Korn, Smashing Pumpkins, Sponge, Staind, Suede, Super Furry Animals (sound a little like Pink Floyd), TenaciousD, The Bravery, The Cure, 311, Tori Amos, Yovee, Hot Hot Heat (I think just their album "Make up the Breakdown"), and No Doubt, just to name a few. @thecraigc: Wasn't one of you sig's a picture that Fort Minor uses? I heard "The Rising Tied" recently, an awsome album.
Yea I like Joe he's very talented. I really like the Texas Blues influence. T-Bone Walker, Billy Gibbons, Jimmie Vaughan, Albert Collins, Delbert McClnton, SRV etc..... I have also done my fair share in Metal, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Priest, Queensryche, etc... I actually got to meet Metallica once behind the stage which was cool. Got autographs talked to each guy individually. Jason was a super nice guy. He was dealt in a bad place trying to "replace" Cliff. Strat
@aabbccdd You checked out Alkaline Trios' Crimson album? Your never too old for that. How old are you? I get down with Deep Purple everyonce in a while when I'm on the right...well lets say plane...when I'm on the right plane I dig Deep Purple. Led Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven will always remain on of my most favorite songs ever. I love it. And it’s whispered that soon If we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason. And a new day will dawn For those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter. Stairway to Heaven lyrics> http://www.lyricsfreak.com/l/led-zeppelin/82076.html
Ronin ,Alkaline Trios' isnt to bad sounds alot like Greenday though ,but pretty good. also it Zeppelin nor Zepplin lol ,that just seems to drive me crazy, sorry
That's what i'm talking about! You just can't beat those 2 duets Jimmy Page/Robert Plant and Tommy Iommi/Ozzy Osbourne... I think Slash/Axel Rose were the best since them... But Ozzy is still to metal what Caruso is to Opera... Has anyone watched the IRON MAIDEN - Rock In Rio dvd? a quarter of a mil people in a concert... I would give 1 year of my life to have been there! Yep, THEY is my favorite band...
permiggs yes i have that show on dvd ,outstanding ,my fav. though is the "Live After Death" show 1985(Long Beach CA.) cant wait till they release that show on dvd should be early next year sometime. The power of Iron Maiden is [bold] UNSTOPPABLE [/bold] Up The Irons !!!!!
Zeppelin. haha I guess I never noticed that other e in there. Your right aabbccdd in some ways Alkaline Trio does sound like Green Day espessially their early stuff. If you want to truely enjoy AT you need to hear the Crimson album in the right order from start to finish. The way every song flows into each other is outstanding. I know I'm a little obsessed but when you've had a cd for 7 months and heard the whole thing at least once every two days you sort of develop and obsession.... I left out a few in my previous list: The Used, AFI, Bush, Rage against the Machine, Rehab, Authority Zero, Suicide Machines
@ Rikoshay -- yeah most of my recent 1s have been, including the one just now, the dude is mike shinoda and the skulls n sh*t is off the rising tied cover, i cant remember where i got the pic of mike thought !!thecraigc!!
