i was downloading fine 3 days ago using limewire, torrent etc and all of a sudden my speeds dropped. i did a broadband speed test through explorer which said i had an ok connection and speed, but the file sharing programmes have slowed. i use 2 pc's to download, and havent altered any settings over the past week. i checked my network and everything, it is fine. i tested my pcs by connecting to a neighbours wireless network and they were downloading fast again. when i connect them back to my account with tiscali i get slow download speed- unless i download from a website and not by p2p. hence it seems that tiscali are 'managing' my p2p traffic as they must think it is excessive. i cant think of any other explanation
Well i know Tiscali are definately managaing Traffic, but it's impossible to manage only P2P traffic. It's probably that your downloads dont have enough sources or the upload speeds of the seeders are slow.
i tried downloadind stuff with tonnes of seeds, left it on for a while, nothing changes. light goes green on torrent, loads of sources and seeds, but never a download or upload speed above 6. its gotta be tiscali. i reconfigured evrything yesterday but with no sucess. works ok if i run off my neighbours network, but that is definitely not a solution to my problem. its really doing my head in.
