All logs should be that short. If you use Nero Express you can make the next burn a 'simulation'. Just before clicking the button that starts the burn, use the side menu (little arrow left/centre to select the speed and simulation) You place a blank in the drive but there is no burning - saves disks.
I use nero vision express to burn and it doesnt give me the simulation option.... I tried using just nero vision but it doesnt support the avi files ...
Here's the simulation button in Nero 6 It's supposed to convert AVI files, that's its job. (although your Nero 6, so it's called Nero Vision Express) They changed the name for version 7.
I just looked and mine doesnt give me the simulation option... Maybe I should upgrade to Nero 7 then....
Are the files that you are trying to burn with Nero in a DVD folder like this? If so then IMGBurn should be able to burn them to disk. Run ImgBurn Mode > 'Build' Output > 'Device' File > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK' Click the green write button.
Load the an AVI into VSODivX. It will convert the AVI to DVD format and output the files to a DVD compliant folder. http://dl.afterdawn.com/vsoDivxToDVD_setup_v0.5.2b.exe Import the file(s) (AVI, WMV,MPEG, VOB) Output (standard DVD file format) to a folder on the HDD. Set 'Aspect' to 4:3 (if you have a regular tv) Set 'Standard' to NTSC (if you live in North America) Burn dvd with 'ImgBurn' Run ImgBurn Mode > 'Build' Output > 'Device' File > 'Browse for Folder', highlight on the 'VIDEO_TS' folder, > 'OK' Click the green write button.
I think it's 2.40Ghz.... 2 serial numbers.. I dont understand what u mean about the serial numbers.... When I used the program to convert the files it said it wud take me 4 hours to convert them.. Seems kinda long...
====== *** NeroAPI, History File *** ====== 1A20-020E-0000-1349-********** 1A20-0218-0370-1725-*********** Edit them out before someone steals them and uses them for the bootleg and Nero disables yours. 2.4 should be fine enough for processor. I don't use Nero Vision much at all so I can't help much. Don't burn @ 16Xs. Slow down to no more than half the rated speed of your media which appears to be Vertabim, good stuff. Are you in a burn-at-once mode? Edit: Are you running a clean machine- not loaded down with cookies, spyware or viri. Have you defraged you HDD lately? I do it before each batch of burn sessions. Do you have at least 15-20 free GB on HDD? If you need a free proggy for getting the crap off you pc then download this http://www.ccleaner.com/download/downloadpage.aspx?1
Yes it is set at burn at once... Should I uncheck that or leave it? No I empty my cookies and I've scanned my computer no virus or ad-ware. Yes just defraged the other day .... I have 2 HDD one's pretty well used up and the other has lots of room... does that make a difference for burning? I went to burn last night and it didnt even take it got stuck at a certain point and didnt go any further... Gettin a lil frustrated now lol
Uncheck burn at once and let Vision write the file to a folder on the HDD that has the most space, then after the file has been converted let it burn it all at the same time.
Well I unchecked burn at once... Burnt a movie last night and it still took 6 hours to do... It starts off saying it'll take 2 hrs 45 mins but when its done it took 6 hours...
Can you make a backup of a store bought DVD? Using DVDFab-Shrink or Nero Recode. You should be able to make a copy in 12-20 min of a SL DVD. And just doing a moderately compressed one in Shrink should not take much more than 30-40 min. NO AVI file just regular movie DVD. How long does that take. How big is the AVI file you're working on?
I'll try burning an original movie and see how long that takes.I'll fillyou in on the results as soon as I have finished. The AVI file is about 700mb.
