hello i have a rather questionable dilema that you guys may just be able to help me wih. im going to a superhero themed party soon and am some what perplexed as to what to go as. i should probably mention now that im a girl, which greatly limits my options. something 80's would be fitting (i was thinking cheetara of thundercats fame, but she's still a little bit crap. or maybe even jenny - the only female character in bucky o'hare - but she's 90's anyway isn't she?). what to do, what to do... anybody got any ideas for me?

hi splizz , what about a care bear ? and you could take a photo and put it on here ?

not to be picky, but i'm 21 and look about 12 so a carebear isnt going to help matters when it comes to getting past the bouncers! ive been researching though and have come up with she ra as another option - how could i have forgotten about her?! and also polly from the samurai pizza cats although her costume is quite complex as she's actually some kind of robot/cat hybrid. i'm liking the 80's theme though - maybe i'll get a carebear suit anyway and wear it to tescos and lectures and stuff. hmmmm...

do you work at tesco's , which one , you could dress up as the girl from dungeons and dragons ! but i think as a care bear would be good ? are you going to take a picture and put it on to show ?

i dont work at tescos no, but i do work at a racecource so i dont think it would be a good idea to present the masses of drunken punters with me dressed as a carebear! as to the photo it will all depend on how good my costume is and how drunk i will be. does anyone remember the heb garden with parsley the lion or what about wowser?

Boy, I really enjoyed Mask, Silverhawks, Thundercats, DinoSaucers and G-Force. Later, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled the world for a while.

Did anyone use to watch the cartoon express on the USA network on Sun. mornings in the mid-80's? What were the cartoons that were on with space ghost? One was a family that was on some planet (mother, father, son, daghter). They had different creaters with special powers one was a rihno looking thing that shot flame balls out of his horn, and there where two blob things that could change shape into any thing I think they were named gleep and gloop or some thing.
The other cartoon was these little space dudes and girls that rode these little space rockets/cycles., each their own color and own powers. There were so many great toons in the 80's. There's a frickin' network completly devoted to cartoons and all they have on is the power puff girls? What happened to these great cartoons did we slip into bizarro world. Where can I find these classics? Does anyone know any good web pages to either buy or watch or download good 80's cartoons?

I've just read through all your discussion and can't believe nobody has mentioned [bold] THE RACOONS [/bold]. Which possibly had one of the greatest theme tunes of all time.

    http://www.gilsinan.com/raccoons/songs/run_with_us1.mp3

And nobody has talked about [bold] FRAGGLE ROCK [/bold], not a cartoon, but a great kids programme that i religously watched for many years.

Also only one person mentioned [bold] GUMMI BEARS [/bold]. What more can u want from a programme bears that are cute, drink some gummiberry juice so they can bounce really high to defeat the evil guy.

Hi everyone! I come from Hungary, a small country in middle Europe. We doing now a RETRO-WEEK on a comic site. We translate the 80's comics. These comics adapt from classic cartoons! Example: Voltron,Thundercats, Captain Planet, Spaceghost, etc...
Please visit this site, and say hello for the creators. The topic is "RETRO-HÉT..."(need register) Dont worry, they can speak english on excellent level(much better than i)

Anyone know which cartoon Glee was in? It was a ghost or goblin thing and it made a funny noise. I can imitate it perfect but obviously you can't hear me. Also, any good cartoon quizzes out there with photos??
