also you click on bin file to add 257 e_E FIXED to the clone, then flash again with the new au cryptstar file found in the link below.

Thanks axxx - Will try reflashing it with version 4.00 this evening and let you know the outcome - At least I am getting some activity on the device now when booting and I can put it into standby (lists the time)

Just saw your second post axxx0 - You mentioned the new au cyrptstar file - Followed the link and listed under starview/firmware there are a few files.
I have downloaded the file called

    CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin

Is this the version you refer to? While I have you perhaps you may be able to confirm or otherwise whether auto update is available on the clones. A lot of posts claiming that it is not but I did find a bin file which claimed it did - Wary to install this for her due to her previous problems but perhaps you may be able to put me straight.

    Thanks

thats correct, nothing changes only that it auto updates. press menu, 1570, set default key, then exit exit to test!

no prob, signing off now, also check to see what current firmware is installed, try putting v257e_E FIXED on first then the cryptstar version.

doubt there will be another fix coming out, try this, delete whatever firmware you have saved on your comp, download it again from the link below in my signature along with the version 257e_E FIXED, flash the clone with 257 fixed first, then flash again with the cryptstar file and let me us know what happens
