    Monster House & American Haunting:
Latest Versions of AnyDVD & CloneDVD 2. Both were easy to back up.[bold] Main Movie only[/bold] No issues or errors whatsoever. Go figure. Maybe it is the way some people are doing it? I don't have a clue.

My main backup program is the Clonedvd/Anydvd combo. I borrowed Monster House today from a friend to see if any problems would show up. I usually don't even think about new encryptions, I just pop a dvd in and fire up Clonedvd with no problems in almost 2 years now. That is what happened with Monster House also. No problem at all, no hangups at all. I would think about doing a clean re-install of both programs. Something is giving you a possible conflict somewhere. Using Clone ver 2901 and Anydvd 6082. I don't know what else to suggest.

I was the one that posted that. As an example: I tried backing up Day After Tomorrow last year. I tried every backup program I had on my PC with no luck. While reading the forum some were able to do it with the same programs I had tried. Since this was a new purchase I had made, I took it back and exchanged it for another copy. First try with Clonedvd/Anydvd it went right through with no problem. The one I took back was in perfect condition with not a speck of dust or mark on it. There were several others like that also but I can't remember the titles. All around the Hoilday seasons. After a few months into the new year I didn't see the defective disc problem anymore. I'm just guessing as I said before, but I think they speed up production this time of year and if the master copy at the factory has any defect on it, it is passed along to every pressed copy they make. No visible defect, just corrupt data that shows up when ripping.

I've been using CloneDVD2 for quite a while now, no problems. However, lately during playback almost all movies start stuttering in middle (or worse yet, near the end) - my software is current. Sony, Disney (latest backup was Shadow Man for my friend, the Segal fan. Any ideas?

    XtalinAK,

You're most welcome, however, the credit goes to IHoe. I know that he posts that information regularly and know where to find it.

I just wanted everyone to know that I use clonedvd2 along with anydvd, and have had no problems. I haven't found a dvd yet that they can't copy. I've copied Click,RV,Harry Potter (All of them),etc... I did purchase the programs from the slysoft website. I have updated every time they have an update. I use windows xp. I used to have about 5 different copying software, but then I found clonedvd2. I haven't tried to rip any dvd's with anydvd, I just let it run in the background, and viola! It's like magic.
