Sorry for the delay, Looks like Comodo Firewall Blocked RustbFix to run, so try to Boot your computer in safe mode and run RustBFix again, And post Rustbfix log along with a fresh HJT logfile

 

Some virus well re-write themselves everytime you restart if you have one of those you are shit outa luck. If you are at your wits end reformat your hard drive an re install your OS. I've been running AVG and Zone Alarm free for years and I don't get anything .Also switch to Firefox for your browser . One trick I do, I have a hard drive sitting on my desk with all my programs installed if I run in to a problem I switch hard drives reformat the bad one, copy the good drive to the now clean drive and switch drives agin, then the good one will be back on my desk for the next problem . Lesson well learned .Update AVG everyday !

another question, is there a reason why i cant use IE now? Says im missing a file, i google'd the file and it said that file was a trojan.

The file is "msvcrl.dll" just to let you know. Just curious, thx.

lol, nvm on the IE6 problem, got that fixed. I havent been able to change my desktop, its a blue screen and wont let me change it. GRRR

 

Try This :

Properties - Desktop - Customize Desktop - Web . Uncheck everything that is related to " Security " or something like that, please tell me what you can find.

 

there is nothing in there checked. On my desktop page, all the different options are greyed out, cant even use the slide bar. BTW, i have an app in my quick launch bar, havent clicked on it, "start 1stantivirus" is the name. And..lol...Antivir PC keeps picking up Trojan's.

Please go to Start > Run > type in notepad and click OK.
Copy the contents of the code block below into notepad.

Go to File > Save as...
In the File Name: field, type "fixme.bat" <---make sure to include the quotes ""
Click on the desktop button on the left side of the box, then click save.


Double click this file. A dos window will open briefly, and then disappear, this is normal.




Download ATF-Cleaner by Atribune to your desktop.

Do not run it yet.

Run ATF Cleaner Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

If you use Firefox browser Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

If you use Opera browser Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
NOTE: If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.

Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.





Kaspersky On-line Scanner

When you are prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files
When the files finish downloading click on NEXT
Now click on Scan Settings
In Scan Settings make sure that the following are selected:
Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
Extended (if available otherwise Standard)

Scan Options:

Scan Archives
Scan Mail Bases

Click OK

Now under select a target to scan:
Select My Computer
This program will start and scan your system.
Online scan can take a long time to complete and the time is impacted by the speed of your internet connection. Be patient and let it run. It is best not to do anything else while the scan is running. This will help it to complete faster.
When the scan has completed, it will display whether your system has been infected or not
Click on the Save as Text button:
Save the file to your desktop or another folder where you can locate it later.
Attach this file to your next message.

You could have refromated your hard drive and installed your OS 5x by now and had a clean machine with alot less work. I know you did't want to hear this, just my 2 cents worth I guess sometimes it just fun to chase down these things, I've done it too. Good luck LOL

ok, i deleted those, everything seems to run fine but i still cant change my desktop. Oh and another thing i wanted to ask, i dont know why when i reboot my pc, it likes to reboot quite a bit w/o my help. It will boot up like regular then when it gets to my desktop and loading things on it, reboots by itself, many times.

And save to the desktop.

1. Double click on combo.exe & follow the prompts.
2. When finished, it will produce a logfile located at C:\ComboFix.txt.
3. Post the contents of that log in your next reply.
