can you confirm if its 9898 to enable the lan or is it 8989 because you have told me 2 different numbers lol
when my router is in the box it puts dns 0.0.0.0 and 2nd dns 0.0.0.0 but when i plug my modem in direct it fulls all the stuff with number in the ip box
just done all the above to a t and still got scrambled channels, when it updates does it say updateing or does it stay on the scramble channel
ive noticed that when the box is plugged into the router or modem the activity light doesnt flash to say its connected it just stays solid and doesnt flash
you have the latest firmware problem must be with router, as its ment to show your ip address ect.ect.., there must be a firewall or security stopping it on router also watch the posts 4 in a row "no back to back posts" (forum rules) me i dont mind, but a "mod" may give you a short ban
no prob, think i done 10-12 at 1 time, though it was a prob with my comp at the time hope you get the box sorted
i would just like to say a very big thank u to yourself and e45 for all the help and advise that u have gave me thhough this thread...ive had the Ddigital duo box now for 2 weeks and your advise and help is 2nd to none....many thanks again
Cheers, Thanks @ Shard, Ithinkm your router may be the culprit, your getting chans, your showing chans, but its not clearing, think its down to the way yer router or internet is set up
hi wdowczyk how did you get your box on, ive been trying for 2 days now and i just get scramble channel, ive followed the guide step by step and still nothing happens, the light on my router dont even flash when the box is plugged in, have you got a normal ethernet cable or did you buy a decent 1 cheers
mickah ive tried a brand new router but the channels isnt clearing, the box scans channels in no problem but im haveing trouble with them clearing cheers
ive noticed where it says user dns sometimes it has a number there and other times it goes to 0.0.0.0, im takeing the box to my sister in laws tomorrow to test it and if it doesnt come on there im stuck, ive been told i cannot return the box because ive put the software on there so my warranty is void
You could always return it back to factory default settings. And it sounds like a dodgy internet connection to me, had mine a couple of weeks and no problems so don't know what to suggest, sorry.
