harrumph! - it's 07:23 and there's a guy in the office in early, dunno what he does. he's typing at 65 words a minute - what a muppet - he's got all day to work, why get it all done in 5mins - most of the office don't even start 'til 8am - i do most of my weekday afterdawning between 7 and 8am. ah well, i should have a new name - grumpy!

but as to 'creaky' yeah my poor old knees tend to creak a bit these days :(

    My two cents......

New members who want to be a contributing part of this forum should definitely help where possible. It will get noticed. BUT don't go behind someone else with:

So and so is right, do this, this and this and basically give the same advice. It's annoying and only makes it look like you're posting for count and not for the benefit of the person with the question/problem.
The only exception in my opinion is if you want to go into more detail and be more specific.

    Tip:
Don't try to be sarcastic or smartass(in a funny way) without pointing it out. Voice inflections and and body language that you would normally use just don't show in plain text and often cause flames.
Once people get to know you then they learn when to take comments seriously, but other newbs won't know yet.
