its hard o know jack, last 2/3 days its been spot on but i have not changed anything.... hard to pin point a problem when its perfect 40% of the time and brutal 60%. might buy a new down convertor and see what that does
you say last 2/3 days where good . did you check your levels, de could be week, any bad weather could break it up when they are week.
just looking at signal strength now..... level 88% quality 65% the quality varies from about 63 - 68 is this strong enough or should i keep trying moving the aerial about?
my local pub is havin a bit of bother with a tree its about 50 yards from his antenna it only affects it during bad weather ie wind and rain an he cant cut it down because its not his
guys as i am living along the atlantic coast my aerial has experienced some force 10 storms and driving rain, and i can honestly say i dont have those problems.youre aerial must have a clear sight of the transmitter(no trees ,chimneys etc.)when you say rain affects it worse there may be a chance that rain is getting in to the downconverter i wouldnt bet on it though cause they are quiet sturdy, coupe can you borrow a good woking converter and a reliable 24 volt power supply ,just might save you a few bob in the long run best of luck/jack.............
ive nailed it down to when it rains, signals crap. this is definite. so why is rain affecting it? down converter is all i can think of... any other ideas???
coupe have you checked aerial lead connection to downconverter to make sure no moisture is getting through you really need a good seal there.
