all you are doing is flashing the channel data file that is the prob you could have or possibly have damaged your unit flashing the channel file as a firmware file.

follow the instructions below and see what happens

To update a Digivox , you will need 3 things first .

    1. A Null Modem Cable (9 pin female to 9 pin female)
    2. Downloader 10 Loader (Software)
    3. .bin file (Firmware)

Number 1 , either you got it with your SV or you will have to buy it

number 2 / 3/ is below for you to download

    Downloader Here

    Firmware Here

    Updating Firmware

Connect your box and PC with a Null modem cable and switch on the cable box and put it on STANDBY.
(The digivox does not need to be connected to TV to update it with file)

Open downloader10 Loader software make sure that you set the correct COM PORT that matches the one that is being used

Make sure App file only is selected, then click b1n File & browse to the firmw@re where you downloaded it to on your PC.

Run the loader by pressing Download and you will see the % progress increase then Download completed message on your PC.

Wait until you see the DOWNLOAD COMPLETE p0p up on your PC before removing the NULL MODEM CABLE.

    The Digivox will then reboot

Disconnect from PC and connect back up to the TV

ONLY USE BELOW IF YOU CANNOT GET THE COMPORT CORRECTLY but as you have already flashed the box your comport must be working

To see which port your USB adapter is connected to, connect your USB adapter and follow the following instructions:

    1. Go to the Start Menu
    2. Right click on "My Computer"
    3. Select "Properties"
    4. Click on the "Hardware" tab
    5. Click on "Device Manager"
    6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)"
    7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your USB adapter is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.)
    8. Go back to your map software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port.
    9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected

If you need drivers go here

    http://www.gilsson.com/usb_drivers_download.htm

Follow my advice to step 7. Locate your USB Adapter (port *)

Right click on that port and select properties. Then select port settings, then select advanced. At the bottom of that tab will be a drop down box with the port selected (port * in your case). Use the drop down to select another port (eg 1, 2 or 3). If the port you want to use is already allocated to something else, you can use the same procedure to reassign that port after you have finished.
Save the selections in the usual way. The USB converter will be permanently assigned to the port you selected.

Yeah I thought it was sorted cause it allowed me to scan channels and gave me the free to air ones tv3, rte1 etc etc. But it wouldnt give me the secret menu etc etc!

Right here is where we got to:

Got the box couldnt flash it tried to plugged it in and scan the channels got 79 channels. But couldnt get the secret EMU menu as the box hadnt been flashed i'm guessing.

So tried this morning and managed to flash it with :
"Digivox_Terrestrial-(mmds)_Tralee_Castleisland(16-12-08)_UPDATED2 It wouldnt let meflash it with the one you provided me with man.

Havent tried it out yet. But i'm hoping it will work this evening! I was using a RS232 null adaptor with a USB converter for the laptop. So maybe there was a problem with the cable or converter etc.

Dont forget to go to the menu then system info then press 1004 on the key pad and turn the emu on. and let the box update

also when N3 hits mmds game over you may put them boxes in the bin as there will be no fixes what so ever for them.

If they ever do sort it there will be new boxes sold all the boaxes that are out there now will be rendered totally useless and fit for recycling bin only
