Can anyone help me with the UJ-845S that won't get out of PIO mode please....I've tried everyting I could find in the guides but with no success...
923blue, did you uninstall the drives in device manager than restart windows so can find drives & load drivers?
I sure did DDP, I uninstalled the drivers and rebooted so that Windows could locate the drive itself and it still comes up in PIO mode. The vendor of the drive said that it may be a windows problem and that I should seek level 2 tech support - whatever that is. I've even followd a few guides that said to make changes to the registry with no avail...i would love to arrange a time to walk through this with you or anyone that may be able to help. thanks again, 923bblue
Is there any guide for the complete beginner with copying dvds? All the guides I've seen are talking about stuff I don't understand. Thanks Mikey
You can use the free programs to backup, here is a guide/sw. DVDFab Decrypter for all the new protections, rip to your HDD and then open DVD Shrink to compress and you can either burn with Nero or the free DVD Decrypter. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/backup with DVDFABDecrypter,Shrink,&Decrypter.pdf http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm
Thanks Locoeng it worked a treat, I did it your way, then also did it using MagicISO and ImgBurn, you way is better once I get it in my head ok, I have Nero Premium, but was never able able to use it to it's full potential. I am now wanting to know how to open a software program in a BIN formatt, It doesn't seem to be happening for me like it did for the movie file, any more guides I should have?
Clearly we can see that AD is rocking with such an exciting stuff. by the i am new to this forum ..bt that doesnt mean that i am new to these topics..... haha cheers gudipudi
1) Does anyone know what happened to this site? I found it really helpful. 2) How do you make a DVD menu? I plan to burn a DVD of a tv show, and want to have the option of selecting episodes.
bbmayo has taken his site off line....there are some good guides to be found here...and here is a good compilation guide.
I just saw ~bbmayo's post announcing the site being shut down. Did anyone manage to save the DivXtoDVD or DVD Shrink Lessons guide? I have all the other ones.
@dissolve If you have all but the two you are requesting please email them to me...PM me if you are interested.
With help from LOCOENG and others, I've placed almost all of bbmayo's guides back on-line. You can find them here: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Guides.html Please note that some of the internal links on his pages do not work correctly. I will try to fix these if possible.
...and I would like to thank dissolve for emailing the guides to me so that they could be forwared to Frank to host, so they can continue to be provided for all that need them.
OK all no need to worry I have created a new site you can find the guides here Website Sorry for the problems, but I just got back from Kuwait in November and Moved to Tennessee in December so i have been very busy. I hope everyone is doing fine and I hope to be back on here more often as soon as I get settled in. The site is a little generic right now, but the guides and some software are all there. I will continue to improve it as time allows. Take care all!
bbmayo Oh so glad to see that you're back. We all missed you. I for one just hope your trip and move went well. The Shoe Man
Hi I'm new here but have been following the Roxio removal guides by Scubapete. Have been putting up with Roxio's peculiarities for some time but now it's getting out of hand! Have tried to get hold of Zapper60 by following the links http://www.microadvantage.net/downloads/zapper60.zip but each time this comes up with site not found. Is the site no longer in existance? Can I get zapper60 anywhere else? BTW great forums. It will take me ages to digest. Thanks cj75s
