I did say obsolete??? LMAO got to love edit Nice catch.. @Benri I believe LOCOENG has explained all your questions very well. As far as screen capture I just use the print screen button on my key board which copies everything to your clipboard and then you can just paste it into any application (I use Adobe Photo Shop) if you hold down your Alt key and press the print screen button it will capture only the active window instead of your whole screen. There really is no need for any other program most people just aren't aware of this function in Windows. edit @sadass you are welcome
Theonejrs put me onto Screen grab pro when I first started out here. The current version is 1.4. Still freeware http://www.traction-software.co.uk/screengrabpro/index.html A new feature is to save an image as an ICO file. What they don't tell you is they have added an animated link bar at the very bottom. Mildly annoying....but annoying non the less.
o.k. i am such a newbie that i am not sure how to even do this forum thing so be merciful. i am old (62),mother of 6 and tecno impaired. here is my question and yes i have read the guide numerous times. whenever i play a dvd on sony t.v. the music drowns out the words. is there some way to fix ? i keep feeling like there is some simple thing to do with the menu on the t.v. but so far no luck. would greatly appreciate help if anyone out there has any ideas.
Awwwww, 62 isn't old! Hi mimitule and welcome to AfterDawn I've a couple questions to start with, Does the sound come through the TV or a separate receiver and speakers? Does this happen with all DVDs?
The guides on AD are excellent-the best I have ever seen. It is a fact that some of the newbies do not realize the guides are there or how to find them. When a newbie asks a question that is explained very clearly in a guide, I post a link to that guide. This serves two purposes: It answers their question and shows them a feature of AD that will help them a lot. My gripe is-whenever I do this somebody pops in a picture with just that screen shown, so the newbie doesn't have to go to the guide and therefore never learns how to use them. Isn't that sort of defeating the whole purpose of having such wonderful guides?
if anybody can help me out, maybe send me a pm or something, im clearly a newbie to these forums, and i apologize to all the senior members
Check out this link: http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/Guides.htm If you want all free programs check out DVDFABDecrypter, FixVTS, Shrink and Imgburn. If you don't mind buying what I consider the best unencryption program available, check out AnyDVD. AnyDVD is on sale at 20% off through Slysoft until 6-24. With AnyDVD I use Shrink and Imgburn. I have not seen the movie I can't back up. At the above link you will find step by step instructions for each of these programs. The site also has links to the software downloads. You write a file to your harddrive using DVDFABDEcrypter. It un encrypts the movie. FixVTS will get rid of blank sectors and correct structure problems. Shrink will shrink the movie to fit on a single layer disc. Imgburn burns to your blank DVD.
