It's not in add/remove programs... Oh and what did you mean with system restore? I should restore the secondary ATA channel?

    in

START MENU / PROGRAMS / ACCESSORIES / SYSTEM TOOLS / SYSTEM RESTORE

    this is for winXP

restore your os to a previous date back to when we started say 2 days ago with old drivers in...

then remove them, and install new when empty

But the primary ATA/ATAPI's uninstall button was already grayed out before we even began.

I can see that both yourself and Rotary have spent quite some time on the DMA issue without any success, have you tried to burn another project since getting rid of Nero 7.2.3.3 and re installing 7.10.1.0...if so post another log file

Huh, weird. I switched to Nero 8.2.8.0 and when I tried burning a DVD my computer restarted. That's weird because I used to have this problem but what I did is to directly plug-in the monitor to an outlet instead of through the power supply but this happened again... And since it restarted I couldn't save a log file, sorry.

If this helps, nero starts burning and around 30+ seconds the "Total time" stops moving but the image of a file from a computer transferred to a CD is still showing (and animating) then after a couple of minutes it restarts. It still says "Caching of files started".

Yeah thanks anyway guys, you've been a real help. I don't plan on sending my PC to the repair shop though, I'd just save up to buy a new one. I'm only a couple of thousand peso ($1.00 = Php 40.00) away from buying a new one so I'll just save up. Thanks again!
