I downloaded DVD X Copy Platinum and went to start it but it keeps asking for codes or something. I try to get tech support but no answer. Can anyone help?
yea, it's in the video_ts folder...the progs just don't want to recognize it (i think i've tried about 5 different progs by now). i know that it's supposed to work, saving private ryan is a dual density single sided disk, it's css encrypted but i believe there should be ways around it, i haven't tried it yet but i'm going to try disabling/uninstalling all the items on the black list so that i know nothing is running in the back ground causing these problems...something tells me that's it not it though, since all those progs aren't runnning (i checked the processes) while the dvd x copy is running... so, i don't know, it says it can't find it and the other progs generally just freeze, dvd x copy did that a few times as well, but they all stop at the same place, that file (dvd dycryptor didn't even work!) arg. -jenn
Hi, I find that if I use DVDXPRESS to copy the DVD to my hard drive then use DVDShrink to get rid of the 321studio's warning, then burn to DVD disk using the Intervideo Platinum 2 (if you download the demo and keep clicking on remind me in 5 days it keeps going..) I have over 100 DVD's and all are perfect. It's worth a go..
I just finished copying Saving Private Ryan using xcopy platinum advanced mode,no compression...split. It works great.
Hi fredyoung, When you DL xcopy platinum, you should've been issued a license id and password from the retailer. If not, 321 tech support cant assist you and you'll need to be in touch with the retailer from whence you purchased.
I've tried it with DVDXCOPY but for some reason AS SOON as it loads it gives me that error, is it because it's double density and my DVD recorder doesn't read that...i don't know, do you guys need me to tell you what i'm using to give you and idea of my prob...has ANYONE had a problem like that, no video_ts/ the .VOB file... well, i'm about to give up...
If you are using Platinum, go to simple mode and check the temp path. Open the temp folder and check that the VOB files are in the video_ts folder. This is the only folder that xcopy will copy from. WHat version of Xcopy are you using?
sorry, i guess i'm posting in the wrong place, i have version DVD X COPY express...not the platinum...but you'd think it would work the same....
Simple mode in Platinum is express, so if you follow the instructions that I give in the prior thread, it's the same. Did you try this and if so what was the result?
i'm leaving for vacation tomorrow, gotta pack tonight, will try it again in 2 weeks thanks for the advice though i WILL definitely try it...anything. thanks again.
richromer, I have to applaud you ... the last post in this thread was June 23. Which means you used the search function!!!!
