Thanks for the heads up Dialysis.

I see they've added a couple of new options. Not sure i'd use the Move Fab option much, if at all. But the Blu Ray option may be worth it.

You must be getting a false positive. I just tried it with no problem.

Just a little note for those who are interested in the Blu Ray option, but don't have a BR drive yet...might want to wait to update until you get a Blu Ray drive; otherwise you could miss out on the 30 day trial!

I'm going to wait a little bit until i get my new drive installed, then i'll update.

    @dialysis1

Norton NIS didn't find anything there suspicious. I downloaded it and scanned it and it was clean. but since ZOSO had a problem I deleted the file anyway.

Interesting. I always run multiple instances anyway.

As to the link, no problem here with AVG, nor from Linux machines as obviously Linux isn't susceptible to potentially malicious links from the Microsoft world :)

edit- am glad to see some Bluray stuff in there, as eventually will no doubt be involved in Bluray ripping/encoding. Missed out on purchasing AnyDVD HD as am out of work and was annoyed that i couldn't buy AnyDVD before the offer ran out (even though i wouldn't be using it yet). Looks like it's good i didn't fall for Slysoft's advertising ploy anyway, as DVDFab seem to be catering for it now.

    Don't install just yet.
It seems that the new options have a 1 day trial instead of 30 days. Hopefully within the next couple of hours this will be corrected.

Yeah, there seems to be a few little quirks with this release. Hopefully they are resolved quickly.

Could ZOSO's detections have been from the program's problems? Glad I didn't install. I use AnyDVD almost 100% anyway. One reason I shy from betas, especially if I'm not having issues with version I have.

Nah, it'll be a finicky false positive from his virus program.
I always use the beta's, but most importantly i archive all the program updates.

Funny you mentioned Trend Micro as Spybot warns against Trend Micro and Mcaffee as potentially because of their practices as being some form of spyware.

I'll hold off on this update as well. No Blu-ray drive or player or HDTV yet. It's in the works.

I hope Fab don't start covoluding things up w/all these xtras and turn it into a Nero. In a way that's what I like about individual proggies. If something needs fixing then it'll just be that 1 thing.

AnyDVD I'll say is good for that as is any other 1 straight proggie.

I just noticed the word Option next to the Blu-ray update. Is this going to be automatically included in the next Fab Platinum stable update, or is this going to have to be purchased separately to work w/Platinum like the Mobile Option is? Can someone please clarify this? Thnx.

Also since I purchased Platinum I haven't had to use the free DVD Fab HD Decrypter. Does the free version automatically have Hi-Def n Blu-ray support as it states on their site? Platinum's description has no mention of Hi-def/Blu-ray support which I have n haven't seen, so can someone please elaborate this also?

    The update log states:
A price for either of these options hasn't been posted yet.

Thnx dialysis. I overlooked that. Now does the free hd decrypter already support hi-def n blu-ray as noted on Fab's site under free stuff?
