6402 is something random I chose when I created my first email address but didn't want to use my name. It just stuck.

Open nero express then click make Video DVD then add the large VOB files from the DVD by dragging them to the window. It'll take you through step by step. Made for beginers so it worked well for me.

Here is the link to the Express 6 guide. If you look under the DVD/Movie chapter, you'll find some easy instructions on how to do a menu. If your menu requirements are more than this, check out something like DVDLab. Questions about this, however, are beyond the scope and purpose of this thread. I would suggest an AD search to find an active thread about menu's or DVDLab.

Tony, use NeroVision Express (NVE) to create menus. It's easy and will allow you to create chapters also. When done you will have a software remote control with which to view your movie and menu to see if it functions correctly.

You can then burn from NVE also, no need to change programs.

If you are getting CD instead of DVD you must click on DVD in the upper right hand corner before choosing your app you wish to run in Nero.

If you have any more questions about NVE you need to take it to another thread or PM me, OK? I will be glad to assist.

Hey guys, back from vacating, how's everyone? Hope all is well.

    Hmm!

Has the sunset already? Watch out folks, hang garlands of garlic over your doors and invite no strangers in.

I think Vurbal was secretly enjoying it. It gave him a chance to get back at all the abuse he's avoided on AD. LOL

I'm a DVDremake Pro user and yes to me its worth it. Shrinks OK for ripping and dignostics, but on any movie that requires more than 15 to 20% compression the picture quality starts taking a serious hit.

DVDremake creates a much smoother DVD than editing with Nero. I used to remove extras with nero but the results were rather clunky on the DVD player.

i dont know i havent done it with nero although i practiced editing with it because i dint have blanks at the time but then when i did i got shrink and used it instead of nero so i dont really know how they come out when they are finished if it looks the same or not

    Aero, Tony

DVDremake(25.00) is an editing program, not a backup program. The pro version is 40.00. It works extremely well with RB/CCE and I also use it with IC 8, neither of which have re-authoring(well,IC 8 does but it's not worth much). However their backup quality is excellent.

It is more of an aid than a main program. To compare it to shrink or Nero is comparing apples to oranges.

I suggest using Nero and shrink til you become familiar with editing and/or compressing then checking out some of these other programs.

    what does the program do?
    does it re-author or not?
and does it make backup yes or no?

It does NOT back up. It is a re-authoring program only, to be used in conjunction with other backup programs.

    EXACTLY
i was telling AERO or WHAT EVER that i would rather get nero which has a bunch of applications and shit
or shrink which is a good program to re-author
    rather then dvdremake.

Nero has something similar to shrink in which it even looks like shrink and u can re-author
and u bust in talking who knows what the fusk
saying shit about apples and oranges or some shit
so what i was saying is that in my fusking opinion I would had rather got nero to re-author and burn rather than fusking dvd remake.

Doesn't anyone but me use Roxie? CD/DVD creator? I see Nero mentioned in about every reply but not Roxie. I like it.
