    Mackem X, I wished YOU HAD been here, then I could have missed all the fun. lol

    The guy obviously wasn't over the age of 12(no insult intended to those the age of 12). I pm'd him with a response to which he responded that clearly showed his level of maturity. Suffice to say if I explained in this thread I would be banned. lol

    Your thread certainly sounds like the same guy, fortunately I suspect he will run out of alias' because he doesn't have enuff gray matter to think of many more.

    BTW, did you ever figure out anything on those files I sent ya?

    hey bigorange...I was wondering if we'd hear from you again. 'Hope all is well. The VOLS got a good start with their freshman QB.

    Quick question. Do you know if there is still a problem with Recode, and what exactly are the symptoms of that problem. If there is a thread, please point me.

    MackemX ... good to hear from you again !!!

    Sorry I wasn't exact in my phrasing. I now have the purchased version of CCE Basic and that is the one I am having problems with.

    Wiggin78...Your RB configuration file shows these values which my setup doesn't. Did you add any of these manually?

    BackColor=16761024
    HalfExtras=0
    LogFile=1
    ReduceOpt=3

    Hey doc, that's fresh"men" QB's. yeah, we been looking good. Like I said we've got a lot of talent, but they are YOUNG!

    I've been around answering other threads, but I get lost with the CCE SP trial set up cos I bought CCE Basic to begin with. Everyone seems to want to use the trial 1st, it causes so many problems and then they end up buying Basic anyway.

    Because of the diversity of PC setups each seems to have it's own set of unique problems. Anyway, i'm still here. :)

    When having problems with RB/CCE it is best to start with a fresh configuration file, if not a fresh program install in some cases. I find it easiest to backup separate configuration files in the RB folder. I created a folder named ConfigBack for the purpose. Anyway clear out the Configuration file in RB folder and setup the program fresh. Without cleaning it out, you end up with settings you had in there previously.

    yeah I did Doc, sorry about that. Ya got me thinking football, not a good thing in a DVD forum!

    Recode should be functioning properly now. The problems from the update previous to the last update has been corrected. It's working fine now.

    There was a sizing problem and I think something else, can't remember what. I'll look up the thread and get back to ya.

    michigan , we don't play you this year(luckily for you,lol) and doc, we'll kick your all's butt in the bowl games since the Sooners have one of the easiest schedules in the country I'm sure that's why they are ranked so high and will lose their bowl game when they meet some stiff competition(they do have a good coach tho, I believe he's from the SEC....isn't he?) heh heh.

    @bigorange, please remind me what files I was looking at as I've probably looked at 10 since then so I can't recall it :(. I will probably still have them so I will take a look if you remind me what your email is or something

    @Doc409, I'm always floating around forums but I just don't post as much seeing as there's plenty of Guru's here to answer questions anyway :D

    @Sophocles, I hate crap like that on boards when it's uncalled for and a swift boot up the rear is the best thing for these nuggets. They serve no purpose to the board at all apart from pissing off regulars. There is always someone else more worthy of using the forum resources so the quicker they get booted the better in my eyes :)

    I agree I just wish they'd hassle some other threads and leave us alone, we're still waiting for our Gurus and we're afraid they might chase them away. LOL

    Good see you're still around.

    I'm using DVDRemake 1.4.6.
    Today I tried editing out some extras and the menu of the movie Cold Mountain, before processing and encoding it with DVD-RB.
    Before I encoded it, I checked with my DVD-playing software that it had been edited the right way.
    To my disappointment the menu didn't work.
    I couldn't select anything.
    So I tried editing with DVDRemake again, but without touching the menu itself - only removing the extras.
    Alas, the same result was there.
    What am I supposed to do?

    I'd be willing to bet it's the version of DRM you're using that's causing the problems. You probably won't get it to work without upgrading to the latest version.

    I tend to agree with vurbal. I would suggest one last thing though. I suspect that you are removing both studio screen splashes - which has caused me a problem on occasion. I suggest you leave these alone. I would also suggest that you not hide the first block in the first sequence...which is often a studio screen splash. I think you will be OK removing FBI warnings and the green film rating.
