Question, I have been using shrinkand decrypter to burn decrypter to crack the encription. Some movies it won't break will clone dvd or any dvd do that for me? I want to get new ones but not sure what to use ??? MAybe mac the ripper ??? Which ones will work w/ shrink or combination of some to work as well as shrink decrypter? Thanks
Clone and anydvd are a good choice. Both are updated aften so you can copy even the new realease movies. I have had very good luck with them.

I have a feeling that IRELAND may be able to help me here, but of course info from anyone is much appreciated. Here's the situation: I am a great and loyal fan of the now defunct DVDxCopyPlatinum software. With all the complaints I've read over the years, I'm lucky I guess because it's always worked great for me. The last version with ripper was 4.0.3.8, I believe (this is what I have anyway). I love the "all in one" solution and haven't found anything that even comes close in my opinion. Now, here's the history and then I'll get to the question. When 4.0.3.8 stopped being able to decrypt, I was ecstatic to find dvd43, because I could run it in the background and use my precious program with no probs at all. When DVD43 stopped being able to break the newer encryptions, I thought I'd try this famouse AnyDVD software. I figured it was the paid version of a program like DVD43 (decrypt on the fly) and was fully ready to get this and live happily ever after. But when I played back the DVD, it was not the flawless copy I had expected. Apparently these 2 decrypting programs don't work well TOGETHER, though I have total faith that AnyDVD is a great program. So, I laid my DVDXCOPY Platinum to rest (at least where the newer movies are concerned) and tried a whole new approach- the free version of DVDFabDecrypter (which has worked GREAT on everything I''ve tried) and Nero recode to shrink. Here's the problem (I'm almost to my question , my flawless disks made with XcopyPlatinum are a thing of the past for me. The disks that are made with recode do not play in my new stand alone DVD recorder, my Mom's 4 year old Samsung (stand alone) plays them sporadically and my aunts DVD player (stand alone) freezes when trying to play these. I hate to beat a dead horse, but my Xcopy Plat. played FLAWLESSLY in EVERY I've ever tried the discs on, including some admittedly cheap dvd players. So, I tried DVDfabDecrypter and DVD Shrink and Decrypter, same result. I don't think it's DVDfabDecrypter, I think it is the "recoding" in these programs. FINALLY to the question: What is the difference between how DVDxCopy Platinum used to shrink or recode and how these other programs I've tried recode??? Why does my old program burn flawless disks and every other "shrinker" I've tried creates disks that are finicky in the home dvd players? I considered trying the AnyDVD and Clone combo, but I'm assuming that I'm going to have the same problem (though I'm willing to try). Is there ANY program that decrypts in the same manner or in the same process that DVDxCopyPlatinum used to? Did they use special technology to shrink that is different from Nero recode or Shrink? Is there ANY all in one program that decrypts, shrinks AND burns? Sorry so long, that's why I've refrained from posting this question before now Also, please assume that I have good media, updated drivers, cleaned the DVD Player, etc.
