    yes old non working firmware you will need to flash it using the null modem cable way.

    just thought i would ask you as your the guy who knows what hes talking about
    my system information is
    date 09/09/2010
    software version kryptview a780 pv3.6.00
    h/w version v3.0.0
    will i have to update that and if so how (thanks)

    If you have any firmware before March '11 you'll need to update. OTA isn't working so you need to download the latest firmware and the loader to your PC and install it via the RS-232 connection on the back of your 780.

    I'm on this firmware and have quite a few channels running with no breaking.

    [edit: This software is for A780 only. If you've got an A750 you'll need different firmware, check the other threads for a link]

    Yes m8 yo will need to update your firmware is too old now Jan firmware is the only one available as a download to put on your box so that is the one you need to use now.

    i see most channels are working on KV now....i wonder why they didnt include a usb port on this box, because it is one of the latest boxes...would have made updating easier, in future with net connections etc...and its a ball ache updating with lead.

    hi ya mate sorry , i did a factory reset weeks ago so i guess im on the old filmware ive downloaded the loader and the bin file got my lead out but i just cant remember how to do it , any links on how to do it

    No need to have a usb port as after the initial first flash the rest where done over the net direct to the box.

    its says on my krypt 780 box kryptview a780 pv3.7.01 v3.00 is this updated or do i need to update thank

    It is the date above that info that you are looking for. It should be 03/01/2011 or later.

    still nothink my end only channels 1-5 is kv still down |?if not cant see want wrong my end been liek for days now

    tried the new firmware but came up saying not need, take it that means i already have the up to date 1 lol

    Anything after Jan 2011 firmware which is only 2 of them the 03012011 file which was released and the 24032011 which was a direct download to the box which was not released if you have any of them files on your box your good to go if not you need to flash the 03012011 file on it
