Error 21

did you give it a try to connect power cable from pc to xbox hdd?

 

yeah sorry, ignore my last bit. i t will work, if you dont get it to show up first time you will have to keep trying until it does but it will show up in your pc.

 

i am going to give all this a go in a little bit, hope you guys will be around!

i cant remember, do i have to change the jumper setting on xbox hard drive, or just leave it on cable select?

 

leave it as cable select.

 

i made it to slave, my primary is set on master! i will give this a shot, then change pri to cable select

Primary ide goto pc hdd.
Secondary will go to xbox hdd. then set xbox hdd either master or CS.

remove all dvd drives. make it easy.

 

still same thing, sys manager sees it, but xplore360 doesnt recognize fatx drives!

secondary is xbx hdd

ok i want to think thereturn for being so hopfull and patient with me...i got the 1 out of 3 xboxs working...well my second one had the same error 21 as the first but when i did the hotswap and did everything the same way and see if it worked it came up with a error 21...now it teased me at first becase i seen the clock thing almost come up
but then here came the error 21...now the diffrence is that there is tons of files on his c partion...way more that mine looks like 2 version of the dashbored and a sid file and a lil of everything...now what im wanting to know if i delete all files on here and install the new dashbored would that fix it? im hoping for a quick reply

 

so did you get your hard drive unlocked by hotswapping? what exactly did you do? and if it is working, you should be able to rebuild it now and get it working with the link i posted back a bit!
