So Jizmak, they teach you any dutch then ? cause in that case you can have fun with me and Retro78 on the Ad_buddies chat talking dutch, pissing off everyone else ;-) Anyway.. where to start... I'm part Dutch (both parents), part Indonesian(mother's side), part Irish (father's side) and i'm a southern man by birth... Makes for a very violent brew, i can tell you that much ;-D
Well, I'm Scottish,Italian, and a tiny tiny bit French Canadian. Also to answer all the stereotypes about Canadians, we do not live in igloos, we do not have accents (unless you live in quebec or the east coast provinces) , but we do say ""Eh""
i've known about that 1 for years. seems some americans think we live in igloos all year round. right now it is 27c outside so no igloos unless made from glass.
Lordie, what a sorry state of affairs. Shouldn't come as a surprise I guess. I believe it was CNN who recently ran a piece about 80% of American high school students not knowing in which part of the world Iraq is located.
i remember reading dear abbey or ann landers back in the late 80's or early 90's about a 80ish lady from tenessee. she was asking if canada & mexico was part of america. was told that no they are their own seperate countries located in north america.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/2496427.stm http://www.cnn.com/2006/EDUCATION/05/02/geog.test/ I took the CNN test & did abysmally!
