@ jamzbond What country are you from. @ catfreak Soccer will become more popular in the coming years in the States. It's just overshadowed by NFL, NBA and MLB at the moment.
@ Jamzbond Interesting attempt to 'talk' trini slang I aint from Penal ( I shudder at the thought of that idea) I am from south though. btw, I have another reason for not being a fan of England - got quite a few friends who are members of the Tartan Army, having spent a year studying north of the border. @ weazel200 he's not from T&T but seems to know a bit about the country, must have some friends from here.
@ Papabois I deliberately said Penal coz I know it would have evoked the very same response that you had. I commend you though for admitting that you're from the South. Almost every Trini I know 'comes from' San Fernando I know there's a rivalry between yourselves and the Reggae Boyz so it'll be interesting to see if the Soca Boyz can outclass them on their debut.
@ jamzbond Thought u said u were from England but wasn't sure so that's why i asked. Are you from England?
In my opinion, i think that Group E is the Group of Death, Considering, Czech-2nd in the world, USA-8th in the world, Italy-12th in the world, and then Ghana........50th.......It should be a very good group 2 watch.....Hope Italy can Qualify
@Weaz In a previous thread 3DLuis asked me quite rhetorically if England was my country of origin. More like "you're from England, aren't you". I said neither aye or nay. I guess you assumed silence meant consent.
There is no rivalry with the Jafakans. The records show that T&T have the more successful national football team. I've personally witnessed us beating them many a times. btw, the new nickname for the T&T team is Soca Warriors. I'm sure they will put on a creditable performance. Latas is still a class player despite his age and (I hope that there are no English coaching spies reading this but) there is another talented midfielder in the side named Aurtis Whitley who could hold his own in most club sides in Europe.
