First build trouble

    Unlike the higher wattage GameXStreams, which are capable of less than they say. I think the 1KW GameXStream shut down at about 820W in testing.

    The 600W GameXstream is definitely worth it for modular cables IMO. And it certainly delivers 600W at least. I agree on the higher wattage units though. They don't hold up to spec on the same internals. The StealthSxstream is cleaner internally and much quieter as well. Certainly a quality PSU and one of the better non modulars I've had.

    Mmm, I still don't trust units with that much ripple myself, it concerns me. That and the fact the GameXStreams are too noisy for my liking, and overheat.

    i would say it would be your power supply not giving enough power. i had the same problem. also make sure if your graphic card requires extra power to plug that in too.

    We haven't heard back from the original poster yet. However, it isn't the PSU 'not having enough watts' as this system will use less than 150W under full load, but Xion PSUs are poor, and this one could well be faulty.
