    @dr_no
    Mate, i can't remember ever seeing Chelsea score 7 in the same game...
    Zola is a martir! But we have Lampard now! That Arsenal game was an accident! What? They forgot how to play ball in a week? Or Arsenal are super good? LLLOLLL
    We'll beat them, look at Everton tonight! Everyone was saying that we would have another defeat like in the Coca-cola cup! Look at the numbers... LOL

    The actual record for highest scoring Premiership game is when Man Utd beat Ipswich Town 9 nil in March 1995. Man Utd also beat Nottingham Forest 8 - 1 in Feb. 1999. Arsenal weren't far off in the games with Everton last season and 'Boro this season.

    There you go Weazel, the Gunners seem to do it about once a season :)
    Like I said earlier this season is just not happening to us. The future looks promising though. Did you see Diaby on the weekend?

    Permiggs,
    Congrats on your win today, but let me sour it a bit for you. You guys got very very lucky in the first game. If you seen it you know what I'm talking about.
    By the way even though I'm a Gooner I still like to watch any team in the Premiership that dares playing nice fluid football. The Chelsea style lately, I admit is effective, is just not to my liking.

    From the other thread...
    Champions League was an accident last year! You weren't supposed to win it!! Nor was we!
    The Premiership AND the FA Cup are the most important trophies for any British club!
    Don't give me that sh@t! Last year FC Porto was Champs and we stuffed them 3-1 here! This year you already lost to us heavily a couple of times... Let's see if you can stay in the CL spot for next year... Or do you think you're gonna win that trophy again?

    @Weazel
    That is without a doubt true, but IMHO Mourinho is superior! The results show it! Man Utd beat us with an unlucky cross (that went in) from Fletcher! After that, we were like playing at home! How many teams have you seen pinning Man Utd againt the ropes in their own ground for that long in a game?

    I think i rest my case here boys... LOL

    Liverpool won't win the CL this season. Not since the CL became the CL in 1993 no team has won it 2 seasons in a row. I reckon this could be Barca's year.

    On the topic of high-scoring games, the ones I can remember

    Nottingham Forest 1-8 Man U (Solskjaer scored 4 in like the last 10 minutes - what a player)
    Man U 7-0 Barnsley (Barnsley were the whipping boys that season - it was Chelsea 6-0 Barnsley [vialli scored 4] and Arsenal 5-0 Barnsley)
    Newcastle 8-0 Sheff Weds (Shearer scored 5)
    Arsenal 7-0 Everton
    Arsenal 7-0 Boro.

    That's all! (All from memory, no google ;-)

    League 2 never! were nowhere near that bad it was souness trying to get the sack so he got his money! otherwise there was a clause in his contract that said if he finished in the bottom half of the table he could get sacked with no compo.

    ROTFL

    The Campbell 'gay' slurs started after he left spurs. Then it was lennox, now Jenas?

    Kieran Dyer is a prima donna.

    Martin O' Neill's wife has cancer, he's not going anywhere

    And yes, Titles bramble is fat, and lazy, and slow, and clumsy. He's rubbish!
