I hope not for a while or so on that MICKAH, it a very good box TM6900combo HD.
of course as u know i have the package from N~L also . No choice then when the other boxes went down last year on the Nagra3 setup, i wanted some channels that i can't get on the sat/box even now. so i can have the best of both world in sat & cable, if i knowin that there was this other box ,i would have not got a N~L box. i see them selling on the net between €150 & €200.for now i am in a contract with N~L for the first year.their box have a 80GB Hard drive built in so it not bad for recording.

Well shaneh in the market place to date that the way they are going for now
with the all new 3DTVs comming on as well that will be LED/LCD tv.
Panasonic Viera's are a very good set as well with it 600Hz motion plus Techology now running on some of their sets. Sumsung
Sound was not bad when u set up the sound Equalizer on it & picture setting
to.i found the picture quality great on the Led back lighting system it has.
i also use a Targa 5.1 surround sound system & it worked very well to.
Led backlighting is far better than the pure Lcd type TVs sold a while back.
Things are changing so fast these days so u won't know what they will bring out on the market Next. but first u will have to get the Picture & Sound setting set up right.to see how good these new Led/lcd tvs over the old type tv's .A true Led tv is called OLED.
But it very very dear to buy these days. it was costing over €2,000 for a 11inc oled tv
but we will wait & see what will be next to come on the market.

couldnt be arsed to change my tv in the next 4 to 5 years, for what, pic detail that you will barely notice, waste of money if you ask me, dont matter how many lines of res they have, every 5 years when tech has moved on greatly would i review it and decide,

Same here MICKAH as i have said be4 with the Samsung superslim 40inc.Led/lcd tv i have &
Won't change it at lease for another 8years or 10 years or so ,By then there should be a set standed on the market for a lot of Hi-Fi & TVs as well.& then u can go & buy.
For now they are chopping & changing models like there no tomorrow.all to get the money out of your pocket in things that might not last to long on the market.as u well know MICKAH. I Review stuff that new to the market from time to time, they look great in review with their spec & Yet we still don't know how long these models will stay on the market or drop from the market, We just don't know.it a mine field out there.ILL stick
with my cable box (N~L) & sat /box for now.

Likewise i got a couple of things wrong myself on this Discussion thread on SV6 box that came out a while ago. in which i don't know that much about this new type box on the market. TVs/sat-boxes/mp3- players/dvd blue ray players & recorder + freesat & freeview boxes. i review from time to time that might make it to the market or not + phones (smartphones). But on this Thread only look at some new type TVs,sat receivers,
Freeview & Freesat HDs boxes+ Specs., in review Soon.

cactid, never said a truer word. still learning. lot of patience needed. there is no one user who has all the answers. so its good to listen and learn/or not from others. but always keep an open mind, check it out, and there is always something to be picked up from reading for future reference

i work in retail and all the manufacturers change there models every 6 months, been like that for bout 5 years now, before that it was once a year, dont think its to get money out of your pocket(of course they want your money though!), its called progress, same happens with laptops mp3 cars etc.......

You won't get ch0r-s channels as they are on Cable here in ireland only. Now if u want those channels on sat u will have to again subscribe to Sky as part of their flagship get those stations back on . Or as u have a cable connection in your house u might go for the Starview 6. the other lads on this thread will help u with this set up of this box.i dont know much on this box .Now there is other boxes comming out in Ireland soon
that are like freeview but with Mpeg4 install ,i Don't know as yet what channels will be on these Mpeg4 boxes,Now if u want to know more u can contact Zintek Systems on
    014600484 / 014008351 in Dublin 12 area. they will know more .dm90

It is not a matter of getting it wrong or not getting it right, it is a matter of attitude when someone queries politely one of your posts, and then you go and edit the original post to make it look as if you never said certain things.

The problem with posting about things that you dont actually know about is that it causes confusion to new members especially. If you are unsure about something you should state that in your post too, as in say 'I may be wrong about this but I think.......' at least then people have are not taking it as gospel.

I was wrong ONCE too about something:-
I thought I was wrong about something and it turns out I wasn't !!! lol

you cant, its connected to a MMDS aerial, not a dish and its a box which upc provide to those in chorus land, no cable box works on Sat

Regarding mpeg4 boxs, the only thing on mpeg4 is DTT, which is 4 chans and a couple of radio chans, not worth spending a penny on at the min,
