being in canada I priced it out using a-power (they're actually cheaper than ncix) and it would actually cost me a bit more
Go to canadacomputers.com You can select the same parts, except with a Corsair 550VX and a NZXT Tempest. It will come out to the same price, but you get a much better PSU and case.
hmm. maybe you're right. so which mother board is better GA-EP35-DS3R or Gigabyte P35 DS3R LGA775 P35 ATX DDR2
You guys are awesome. thanks for your input. You've convinced me to build one myself with the exact parts i want. i'm sure i'll be asking more questions when the parts arrive and i try putting it together. thanks again

Bad. They're still using 8800GT SLI, which doesn't factor in the problem that SLI boards get into in the long run. Stick with an HD4850 and an Intel chipset board, and you'll get a much better and more reliable PC.
Yup, I got this for 800. Q6600 Asus P5K Pro ATI 4850 CoolerMaster RC690 Tuniq Tower Corsair Dominators 4GB Corsair 650TX Samsung 250GB Sata 2 HDD Nec Optiarc Burner If I had decided to spend 200 more I could have gotten a X38 motherboard and another 4850.
nice i have a similar system but i have a p5k instead and a 8800 gts and only 2 gb of ram got to upgrade

ffonlly: That case fan won't just annoy you, it could leave you with permanent hearing damage, it's an immensely noisy fan, go with something more realistic like a SFF21F. Rest of the components are fine: farook: that your contribution for a $1000 gaming PC? you're a bit behind the times...
ffonlly, just wondering, how many of those case fans do you plan on getting? since theres like 4 120mm fans, are you going to replace them all? or are you just getting one?
