disable in the bios 1st ide port as it appears to have died. if the maxtor was c:drive before then leave the jumper as master & move the jumper on the burner as slave if it wasn't before. can use the 17gig as an external if get a 3.5" usb2 enclosure.
ITS ALIVE!!!! well its working at least. I couldn't get the HDD to switch to the master so it is the slave and the ROM is the master. Will this create problems, or is it ok?
