    hey I also recently installed the Xenium gold and am having trouble putting a bios on it. I have a 1.0 xbox and the chip is all installed and working perfectly. I have been just using the incredibly convenient built in ftp feature in Xenium's new OS it kicks but. I can't seem to get a bios to stick though. I have tried x2 ver 5032 and evox's m8 plus. I insured that I was using the version of the bios for the 1.0 to 1.6 xboxs. I ftp it onto my xbox drive and I go through the menus and can see it, but when I try to flash it I get an error message "EEprom restore failed! It is possible that the file you selected is not a valid binary EEprom backup." I have tried a few different *.bin's so I feel like one of them should have worked I just am not sure what exactly I have to do. I also fiddled around with executer bios manager to make the bios' different sizes, but no luck. If anyone could shed any light on what exactly I have to do to flash a bios on here please let me know. Thanks

    Here are a couple good tutorial sites that I have been using. Hope they help. Your Xenium chip should have the 2.3.1 operating system with build in FTP I definetly suggest trying to get that to work.

    @russdog

    1) Burn EvolutionX M8plus Bios to disk. If you have a 1.6, use the bios M8 plus_16. If you have less than a 1.6 use the m8 plus.

    2) Put cd in>launch menu>add a new item>flash then find the bios off the cd and so on.

    3) find a.i.d (auto installer deluxe) off of one of the torrent sites and burn it to dvd. Stick the disk in> launch your bios and a.i.d will set everything else up easily.
