dma isnt need then! if your drives are all SATA forget about it! you only need dma for ide drives! also use direct link from uploaded pics and insert into img tag button on reply section here where you type to reply box... so forget dma is not needed in your case!

is the problem that your dvds you make, play ok back on pc drives but not in home standalone players on TV? this could be structure or dvdr's used if you have +R booktype to dvd-rom makes it like original if your burner allows booktyping? also are you setting PAL or NTSC correctly? what discs are you useing now? use dvd identifier on them to find out the dye/mid code for us
It seems I can only burn ISO files successfuly but they won't play in my standalone player on the tv, I don't know anything about pal or ntsc nero seems to take care of that [/URL] [/img]
That's not exactly correct. I chose not to install the SATA/RAID drivers hence my my HD's, SATA II and I, show as IDE devices with UDMA enabled. HD Tune: SAMSUNG HD321KJ Information Firmware version : CP100-12 Serial number : S0MQJDWQ154631 Capacity : 298.1 GB (~320.1 GB) Buffer size : 16384 KB Standard : ATA/ATAPI-0 - SATA II Supported mode : UDMA Mode 7 (Ultra ATA/512) Current mode : UDMA Mode 6 (Ultra ATA/133) HD Tune: WDC WD1600JD-00FYB0 Information Firmware version : 02.05D02 Serial number : WD-WMAEK1940108 Capacity : 149.0 GB (~160.0 GB) Buffer size : 8192 KB Standard : ATA/ATAPI-6 - SATA I Supported mode : UDMA Mode 5 (Ultra ATA/100) Current mode : UDMA Mode 5 (Ultra ATA/100)
every thing seem to be working now, I uninstall the sata dvd-rw and installed a IDE dvd-rw, dma is enable now I just burned a dvd and it plays in my dvd player thanks to all for your help
I have no need for RAID so there is no reason to enable it. So in the BIOS I choose IDE mode for my SATA drives. The HDs work fine. The SATA II drive is at about 78 MB/s and the SATA I drive runs at 54MB/s, much faster than my old IDE setup. I guess I lose Native Command Queuing support and Hot Plugging for SATA drives. Seems to work fine and I have a set up I'm familiar with. If you do not intend to use a RAID array or the AHCI features, it's recommended that you set this BIOS feature to IDE. This allows you to use the native Windows XP driver and skip the loading of the SATA controller driver during the Windows XP installation routine. It also skips the loading of the SATA controller's RAID functions at boot time, which speeds up the boot process.
