How to make your own Memory Card Exploit using the Independence Installer

Help please. I got the SLUS for my PS1 game now, but don't know how to make title.db. The link post in previous post is dead can't find title.db maker.

Another question: How could I copy whatever that needs to be copy to the MC from the cd I burn with all that files in there?

went out and bought ARmax evo, decided 16 megs wasn't enough so i bought a jump drive trio at wally world ($20) hada 1 gig sd card so now i have 1 gig extra to play with.
also wally world has 128 mb sd cards for $15 right now so for 35 bucks you could have 128 megs for your action replay media player or to carry extra files for pc too

Nevermind about Last post. I know how to get my PS1 game ID now, and know how to create the title.db file. Problem.

On the first page::

/FILES/PS2SMAP.IRX (Module)

/FILES/UNRAR.IRX (Module)

/FILES/SYSTEM.CNF (???)

somewhere on the fifth or the sixth page:

which on is correct. And My friend have gameshark, he put game shark in his ps2, it ask for a disk. I put the compiled CD-R, which I followed the instruction on the first page. PS2 ask a sony original CD or DVD.

Sorry for bothering you guys, but i'm a noob at these things, with an AR MAX EVO, what files should i transfer to the memory card?

And let's be honest, what we're tryin find here is a way to play burned copys without modchips or swapmagics, so, how can i load a ps2 game?

I haver an european ps2, and some psx games, like toca touring car championchip, ridge racer, tony hawk's pro skater 2, etc, if that helps.

 

I still for the life of me cannot get execftps to work off the MC or HDD...

I just have one simple question What is LBA
whre is LBA in system.cnf and how do i change it when i open the system file in notepad it is as follows:

BOOT2 = cdrom0:\EXPINST.ELF;1
VER = 1.10
VMODE = NTSC

I dont see an LBA line to change

to clarify my question in the tutorial is says:

When i right click on System.cnf (EDIT) is not an option .. like i said i can open in notepad and it has the 3 lines....

Then again i didnt have problems running the MC Exploit installer it installed fine .. I just need a PSone Disk for a trigger ...

So am i asking a question a really don't need an answer to ?? LOL

Does anyone know of there is a way to Make ur burner Burn at 1x ... I have a Plextor External PS-712U
and the slowest speed it burns at is 4X .. GTA San Andreas plays fine so does THPS Underground 2 .. but TigerWoods 2005 Isent so hot .. sounds skips and it freezez constantly ..

Also ..with DIsk ID utility .. I get the first 2 charaters either as .. BE ... or ßE .. is it "Beta" looks like it anyways .. i know there is a font mod for Disk ID util .. but i cant find it .. neone know where is it ?

hi i am new to this whole playstation 2 mod thing but i downloaded the hdloader and i have tryed every thing to burn it i use both nero and alcohol 120 but nothing works all it does is gives me the red screen of doom for theose of you who don't know what that is it is the screen that says "insert a playstation or playstaion 2 formated disk" so can someone plaese help me burn this and i have the hdd disk that comes with the offical ps2 hdd but i am using a maxtor 20gig but i also need to know how to format the drive so it works because the hdd disk just say that there is no hdd installed.

ok i did everything u described it gets to the installing files screen, says installation complete but i reset my ps2 and nothing happens i'm using SWD v3.3 to boot my disc's, do i need a original Ps1 disc to make it launch? or can i use something else?

also is it possible to make a elf file from my SWD 3.3 and if so how do i go about it?

You have SWD? You mean Swap Magic Discs? (SMD).
Anyways, I read that v3.3 has support to boot elf files from the memory card.... so you can use it instead of a PS1 game. You will need to get the SMBOOT file from the swap magic website...configure it....burn it to a disc...install to your MC... umm not too sure what you do after that?
check the SM site for more information on what to do.

 

I have made approx 15 coasters at this point. I followed l-burna's guide to a t and keep getting the message/error:failed to write to detination file BOOT.ELF

Someone please help.

Are you sure theres enough free space on your memory card?
That message your getting indicates your MC is out of space.

I am pretty sure. It is brand new no(empty)it says on the outside of the card that it has 15 blocks of memory.
