So everymovie I borrowed from a friend to watch, it's illegal? I mean it said private use, I'm not trying to pirate it or do anything illegal with it. I just want to watch it and be done with it.
The Copyright laws these days are messed up.... It was ok back in the day to record a cassette tape of an album and give it to your friends... That is completely legal and I think it still is.. Now that you can burn an Exact copy and the quality is as good as the original it's illegal to burn a CD for a friend.... As for TV shows if you tape something off TV for your private use it's ok.. but to D/L it is illegal.. Doesn't make sense but it is.. probably because alot of D/l'd tv shows are close to DVD Quality or DVD Quality so they consider it illegal because of the quality.... So basicly you can video tape or Audio tape something but if you Burn it in any fashion it is more than likely Illegal
