[bold]Amen to that Creaky[/bold] Honestly, I think the only purpose ranks serve (especially to new members) is they expect advice from higher ranking members to be right. I joined the site almost a year ago to date but I had only used it once or twice and never really posted, I just read, found solutions and downloaded programs I needed. Usually I focused on advice from higher ranking members but with that, I didn't know how status was gained then I just they they were the ones with the answers. About four months ago, I started being an active member of this forum ad I will continue to do so till the end. MANY OF US ARE GENUINE ABOUT OUR GOALS WITH AFTERDAWN.
The hardest thing to do is to give advice to others when you are not looking at anything tangible, all you have to go on is text and sometimes a log. Everybody has different setups, programs and hardware. It is amazing when things get resolved. I like to think of posting as a constant learning experience for me. Because the posters are really the teachers, they get us to researching and help us to learn more. Just my opinion
