hey siber, for a guy trying to mediate [bold]"Also, let's remeber the title of this thread: 'Input on DVD Rebuilder Guide'"[/bold] you sure have changed your tune since you wrote this a couple of days ago[bold]"Boy, do I enjoy watching a fight develop anytime and anyplace! Brobear! Searcher1! Give me five minutes to advertise this match! Hold on a minute till I can let everybody know about this!"[/bold] heh heh heh, just givin' ya a little sheeat, actually I'm in total agreement with ya, this is a good thread vurbal has, and I hope more will try rebuilder/CCE, it's definitely the top of the video pile.
Good morning. My intentions have always been serious. I have been with you guys in the desire for the best results the whole time. I purchased CCE and use rebuilder because of the tests I have run not because it is popular to do so. If I ever get Intervideo to work right it is possible I will buy it to. I also enjoy Rebuilder/CCE because of the small footprint and hands on assembly and setup. The challenge is good. Better if it works. By your previuos post I gather you use it on more than one personal machine or don't have a problem with this use. I'm not sure I'm up to making a farm but I figured two seperate projects at a time could be good. Does anybody use the farm method from the guide to reduce the encode time?
Next post please. _ _X_X_X_X_X_[small] "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." Sherlock Holmes (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 1859-1930)[/small]
Well I do (obviously) ;-) Seriously though, if you want to try out RBFarm I should be able to give you any help you need. It's really pretty easy. Let me know what you need help with.
Back to rebuilder and CCE. _X_X_X_X_X_[small] "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." Sherlock Holmes (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 1859-1930)[/small]
Just a suggestion for everyone here. If you have specific problems you need help with it's better to start a new thread instead of posting it on one of the incredibly long threads we've been posting to for a couple weeks. We can't very well expect anyone to read through 100 posts to try finding an answer for a problem.
Sorry Vurbal We have another thread to discuss RBFarm. Using DVDremake and Other Tools with DVDrebuilder And CCE http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/90309
When I open a movie in DVDrebuilder 55b, it selects the French audio tracks instead of the English ones. I went back over my setup and selected all languages then saved, then unselected all languages and saved, and then selected English only and saved, and yet when I load a movie it is still auto selecting the French audio track only. It’s not a major problem because and can uncheck it and then check the English tracks and it works but I curious is anyone else experiencing this. The movie was not edited with DVDremake or anything else.
You do understand that the checkmarks are for which audio tracks to remove not which ones to keep right?
I've never used the checks before because I set it up to recognize only English, but I did keep a French track the other day and thats when it all began.
Open up Rebuilder.ini in the DVD-RB directory and look at the bottom. There should be 2 lines that look like these for keeping English audio and subtitle streams: Languages=1111111111111111111111110111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 sLanguages=1111111111111111111111110111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111 If they look different, try copying an pasting them in and then restart DVD-RB. That should fix the problem, but I don't know why it would have changed or why it wouldn't change back. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue DVD Rebuilder Guides: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd_rebuilder_tutorial.cfm http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/dvd_rebuilder_tutorial_advanced.cfm[/small]
I will, this is what I got. Languages=0000000000000000000000001000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 sLanguages=0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000
It looks like you have it set up backwards. Make sure the language you want to keep is unchecked and the languages you want removed are all checked.
Vurbal It's working just fine now. I think it was caused by a DVD that had a French Language track sharing the same sound track as the English track. I've seen this before where people who removed a French sound track also didn't get an English track. I was doing some Shrink beta testing. I ripped the movie with DVD Shrink and in the process I removed the French track but when the movie was done it had neither English nor French sound tracks. I decided I would like a keeper for my archive. I ripped the movie again with DVD Decrypter and used DVDrebuilder but before I started to prepare I added the French sound track just in case. After I'd finished I tried another movie and noticed my settings seemed to have changed so I went over them again and they were fine. I opened the movie and only the French sound track was selected. I swapped it for the English track and it worked but I couldn't figure out how to get it back to English only. I could see me being tired and doing a backup and then trying to watch a moive in French. My oldest son is a French Canadian maybe I could get him to come over and translate. Thanks Vurbal
I rechecked my settings as the were before and You're right I had reversed both the initial languages and then did it again with the second part. This would be a disaster except that what I did worked. In over twenty backups with rebuilder and CCE I've had only one failure and I blamed that on over editing with remake. I hear all these problems that others are having I'm having none and I'm doing it wrong. LOL, LOL, LOL
I think the guides are great! I could use more explanation when it comes to the drive mapping. I have some experience when it comes to networking in windows. Just never messed with mapping before.
Hi guys! Is there any other way to use CCE Basic Trial Version succesfully instead of CCE SP Trial Version>EclCCE.exe? Because Transcoding with CCE SP Trial Version through clCCE.exe leaves that "watermark" and I don't like it. I tried to work with CCE Basic Trial Version but I had the same problems that mccoy5. Thanks!

Yes, buy it. _X_X_X_X_X_[small] Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." Sherlock Holmes (by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, 1859-1930)[/small]
Using the trial is just for testing. CCE SP works very well for that. If your satisfied with the results then go ahead and buy the 58 dollars for CCE basic. I tested several movies on SP. Then I purchased Basic. I have been very happy. _X_X_X_X_X_[small]Donald [/small]
