Internet Conection Speed

    well i guess when i own my own place and get a decent job ill get that 100$/month from rogers which is 6.0mbps

    Are you kidding?!?!?! Did you see the stats i posted, a 9 mb line and i only pay $29 a month now and in 6 months it moves up to $40. Optimum Online, the greatest!!!!!

    100 bucks a month........... they musta seen you comin then!!!
    i get an average of 3-4 megs on a busy day, and i still pay less the 30 bucks a month. i have hit speeds of 6megs on a good good day. but for 24.95 a month, its better then 100 anyday !!

    Used Glitched test, got 293.12 Kbps (36.64 KBps), i usually get around 600 KBps download...that test is screwed up :)
    EDIT: Just did the other test and got 5925 kbps download, 271 kbps upload. Thats more like it!

    im paying 42.50 a month for comcast...or I will be soon. I got a deal for 6 months for 19.99, which worked out good. Its definitally worth the money over dialup.

    i changed my computer for port forwarding and my speed gain on bitcomet went from max 9-14kbs to 95-140kbs on all files!!!************then i got stupid and changed my belkin router to a static ip and everything WENT TO SHIT!! now i cant use the internet through the router and the reset button the the router just resets it, not to the factory defaults!!
    how can i fix this? someone PLEASE HELP!!

    with a name and an address i will send whoever helps me a $1.25 personal check please help me!

    everytime i call belkin with my problem im on holding for 30-45 min then they transfer me to a cut off line! wtf?

    man you guys are lucky, Yahoo SBC dsl isn't avaible in my area. I get 1.5mbps and 768kbps up from Qwest for $45 a month. Being in a non-city kinda stinks when it comes to internet. There are very few hotspots, we pay the same amount but get slower internet. Like look at the average speed for someone with cable from New York compared to Colorado. Almost ten times more!

    I live in northern VA, about 45 miles west of Washington, DC. Connecting to the Washington DC server, it was 6154kbps download and 360kbps upload. Connecting across country to Seattle, WA it was 2164kbps download and 358kbps upload. I am using Comcast cable.

    dont use the mcafee test, use the speakeasy test (if you are in the states of course), otherwise get a test for your country from http://broadbandreports.com

    ok i live in aus and i couldn't find one but i used the speakeasy one and i got
    415kbps Down
    90kbps up
    what is totally different to the mcafee one
