is this comp any good?

    Nope 9800GTs HAVE GDDR3 on them. They don't require it. They use it.

    What site are you using? They're much cheaper than that on Newegg.com

    actually i dont have paypal to pay online so i was going to buy them cash at a store with my money...
    i cant ask my parents to pay with their credit card and teel them i would pay them cash because they arent usually very excited about purchasing online...
    and i dont have a credit card because im still 2 years away from being 18...
    but its still a fairly decent priced compared to what i was planning to buy...

    is there a special difference between BFG TECH and EVGA 9800GT?

    ive been checking out the frys and bestbuy website

    not really. they are generally the same thing with a different sticker.

    How much are you looking at paying for the 9800GT? Last I checked the HD4830s were cheaper ($100, $90 after rebates, versus $130, $110 after rebates), and they're also faster.
    Not a huge difference in performance, but hey, why lost out?

    well last i saw, the 9800GT was $130
    well as long as it saves $10-20(10-20 double cheeseburgers from the dolar menu..haha) and i think ill go for that one instead...
    besides its about time i used a radeon, all my life ive only used Nvidia...
