you answered part of my question as you have a dell. what speed is the cpu, how much ram, how big is the hd. when you have more money than brains, rebuild your system with a clone case, psu & motherboard that your cpu can fit on. use rest of parts onto new system including a floppy drive if don't have 1 now.
i upgraded alot. 768mb of ram 2.5 gh. and what do u mean more money than brains. this is my first time buying a graphics card.i dont no. i no about so much other stuff. just i dont no much bout the hardware.software is eays with all of the torrents and emulators and projecters. i espesally no alot bout Emulation. im buying this so i can play gamecube games. i even desighned my own ps2 emulator if u want it. its pritty basik.i took files from the other ps2 and gamecube e,mulators and created one that can actually play practicly allmost every ps2 games. i cant play anygames created in 2005. dont say that i dont have much brains. Just asking. How old are you. you would probally be surprise how old am i.
not meaning it as an insult just if you have the money to blow than maybe get a new case & such as the dell is a propriatory system like motherboard & psu
as your current motherboard doesn't have an agp slot & presuming no pci/e slot which looks different from both agp & pci than yes get that card. if have the money, get the stuff i posted before & the agp version of that video card & you'll be happier still than having the pci videocard. your the one who has to decide which way to go as i can only advise you & it is your wallet that is paying for this not mine.
So ill be able to use it. i have pci i have pentium 4 i dont have that AMD K6/Athlon which i think i dont need i have pleanty of mb of ram. i cheacked mt pci slots and it seems like it fits perfectly. and i allready orders it. i can still cancell if i want. will i be able to use it. System Requirements Intel Pentium 4/III/II/Celeron, AMD K6/Athlon or compatible with AGP 8X /4X /2X slot ????????????????????? ive posted this b4. i have a Intel Pentium 4, but dont think i have a AMD K6/Athlon Thank You for all of your help and i really appreciate it. Thank u once more. just feel good that u helped out a 12 year old boy.
the amd k6/athalon is the same as the intel p2 or p3 cpus. i'm 45yrs old to answer your question on how old i am. teach & learn
Sumone157 I'm just reading this late before hitting the sack but the question should be what model Dell do you have? It seems unusual for a Dell not to have an AGP slot especially since you have a P4, unless it has a built in Graphics card in the motherboard and even so, older MB’s still had an AGP slot available for future upgrades. So some questions might be: How old is your Dell? What model is it? Have you looked it up on Dell's website or called them first before making any purchase, asking for their recommendation, whether you purchase a graphics card from them or another source? If not, why not, what do you have to lose?
So have I ddp, but a Dell? Again, questions asked and answered without knowing the actual model of his machine and I repeat again, what is there to lose by asking which model of Dell does he have? Most Dell P4's would have one, but Celeron's might not and his states a P4.
once again thanks. but ive found a much better modle. look at this Specifications Model Brand XFX Model PVT64KUA Chipset GPU Geforce FX5200 Memory Memory Clock 333MHz Memory Size 256MB Memory Type DDR 3D API DirectX DirectX 9 OpenGL OpenGL 1.4 Interface Interface PCI Ports D-SUB 1 DVI 1 TV-Out S-Video Out VIVO No TV Tuner No General Max Resolution 2048x1536 SLI Supported No Accessories 1 Cable, Manual, Driver CD, DVI to D-Sub Adapter Operating Systems Supported Microsoft Windows 95 Microsoft Windows 98 Microsoft Windows 2000 Microsoft Windows ME Microsoft Windows NT 4 Microsoft Windows XP Linux as u can see its MUCH better
