Thank you for those link. I have installed that software and I can record again so that you very much. Can anyone reccomend some DVD burning software other than power producer?
hidi campers. I have been having major problems with this card/software.The UI is quite poor but then it is a cheapo card... had it for a while and the recordings used to skip and chop about quite badly. Contacted jetway and have tried verious Dvbt plus versions, newer version 2.3.5 solved the choppy/skippy picture but the video/audio sync screwed up. With a bit of tweaking and reinstalling it finally it seems to be just about ok: recording and live tv. They provided this link for latest software. (the mpeg editor still syncs the audio/video badly for me) ftp://ftp1.kworld.com.tw/kworld/ap/dvbt_plus/v3.0.0.1_051209.rar They also said some problems may be Microsoft related: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=887131#appliesto Also get directx 9.0c december as well; and latest audio drivers helped for me.
i see that this thread regarding the jetway DVB Tv cards is old now but it seems noone has answered the question. the fact id IF your driver is a BDA DVB diver then you can use many 3rd party apps. its a shame jetway dont make it far clearer or indeed provide any links to the drivers you people posted to. not even a search for dvb find any links, however looking through this thread i found the jetway-DVBT_V213.zip and inside that in the usb section there is a notes.ini that says its a BDA driver so you should be set to use any of the many apps. JTVlan DVB-T viewing and streaming add-on for WebScheduler works very nicely in multicasting mode to any No. of machines. use VLC media player to connect to the above server machine and enjoy DVB tv http://jtvlan.netsons.org/howto.php http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ http://www.digtv.no-ip.com/webscheduler/ remember, the key is installing BDA drivers
forgot to add , .ts saving is best as its a direct copy of whats being broadcast without any re-encoding whatso ever, use VLC, MPC (media player classic) to play them and something like HDTVtoMPEG it appears to be really free http://www.eecs.umich.edu/~balazer/...PEG2/index.html seems to load up .ts no problem, and allows you to cut up and re-save the .ts or convert to standard mpeg2 i a flash. http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=HDTVtoMPEG2 it wont work with the new BBC HD trial streams as they are using the newer more advanced AVC/H.264 encoding and not the older standard mpeg2, but most DVB transmissions are .ts mpeg2 streams so no problem. see http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=348897&page=1&pp=25 for the major info regarding the london HD trials.
i gave up on the dvb-t software that came with the card, it sucked (the epg was useless!) i currently use MS Media Center 2005 which i'm pretty happy with for an MS OS! however, it dont see why media portal (media center alternative) shouldnt work with this card (not tried it myself) as long as you use the WHQL drivers i posted.
I may be saying what someone else has said (sorry if I am). The Jetway card is originally manufactured by K-World. The K-World card has been widely rebranded and resold by many other vendors, including Jetway. K-World have at some point changed their name of the card to the now-current DVB-T100 as they have developed newer cards. There is a long but good discussion thread at http://forum.digitalspy.co.uk/board/showthread.php?t=352150 which relates to this card - It would appear that K-World have updated a lot of the drivers and related software over the last few months, so it may be useful to follow some of the links in this discussion thread if you are having problems or wish to explore further. With the updated drivers and software some people have reported success with using this card with alternative software such as gbpvr and mytheatre. Much has been written about this card in the Linux world too and it has been successfully used in Linux systems. Peter
yer i discovered that it was a rebranded kworld card when i was searching for Media Center Edition Compatible drivers! it took lots of googling to find out they were the same card. Recently in aldi, i noticed that their medion digital tv card was another rebranded kworld card!
