    Ferg, i have ordered some boxes with my credit card for friends

    Hi, i treid tht few times but keepng getting the same message, downloading is not requested, is there anything else i need to do, i selected com3, it looks like its working ok, coz i didnt get any mesg. thanks

    Hi dilber com3 didnt work on mine even though I didnt get an error turned out it was com4 as for flicking on / off the button at back did not work for me had to hit the red button(1/2 down remote twice) followed by the standby button(red button top left hand corner) once and that worked fine

    thanks for that, dose the box need to be in standby or on potions when we start the software? also having difficulty finding com port, an help will be appreciated, thanks

    here something I wrote earlier this is how I found which com I needed Hi just got mine loaded today might help some of you re which com to select go to my computer right click for properties click hardware then click device manager should see item called ports click on that and it will show the exact location mind you I have a disc that came with my null modem cable had to load it on first then press start however for me turning box off and back on didnt not work , so here what worked for me start price the red button which is in the middle of remote twice followed by the red standby button that is the button on the top left hand corner of remote. hope this is of help to someone
    hope this is of some help bear in mind i'm only a newbie so I sure the some more experienced people around that may be able to help however it did the trick for me good luck

    i am sorry when i go to device manager, i dont see any ports option, i have null modem cable with rs 232 usb adapter. thanks

    dilber as i said mine null modem cable came with a disc and so it didnt appear til I loaded the disc so unfortuately I cant be of any more help bet you it only something minor and someone here will be able to help you out - sorry I couldnt be of more help good luck

    dilber are you trying to flash your box using Vista? if so don't bother as it is more hassle than it's worth, get yourself to a computer running windows xp and you wont have any trouble.

    i went through this guide but, cant see any ports in the device manager, tried everything, thanks

    Turn the box off from the main switch, then hit download and turn box back on. Its in the release notes and guide.
