Same here on the Tyne - tried factory reset and re-scan but nowt. I've had the same firmware since last May so wondering if that's the problem?

Flybee, are you using Gateshead's network ID? I'm on Tyne and having no issues with the channels that are running.

Yep, using the G'head ID but can't get anything other than FTAs. Managed to get a hold of a later firmware but I'm having a problem flashing it and keep getting the 'The downloading is not requested' message. I've been a patient little boy but I'm getting ready to kick-off with this blasted box.....arrrrrgggghhhhhhhh!

I've calmed down, taken a chill pill and managed to flash a newer bin file and I now have channels as described in e45's post. YES!!! Don't know what I was doing wrong (I don't have a tut) but either way it was user error and I put my hands up.

m8 what i do with my time is my business and i dont have to answer to anyone on here i dont sell boxes i dont set them up i dont work for kryptview.

i recommended a place to get them from a supplier that is all what people done after that is their own business i did not put my hand in anyone pocket or any supplier people where quite prepared to get FREE TV!! but when they go down people are the first to point fingers i could have just let you all wonder around looking for the channels that where on now but i decided to post them here for people so as you can see from your post above what is the point ?? some ungrateful people on this forum i have to say

why?

all last year you personaly went on a crusade slating
sv / there support / and how great kv was.
when sv went down for a couple of months u gloated.
when kv went down for a month - u vanished -
now kv is returning - so do you -

even for me after 5 months you still wont answer
how u were able to post on here how u new i was
getting a replacement kv box and state the day it
was ariving, even b4 the suplier told me.
then had that post removed. yeh its old news
but u always avoided an answer.

personaly i think your up kv's arse, which isnt
a bad thing - just duno why u denny it .

But why the hell do all these posts end in arguments does it matter who does what? I am very thankful to all the guys on here that help with these boxes. The way I look at it we all know the score on these boxes and you pay your money you takes your chance nobody is forced to buy them.

Once again I would like to say thanks for all the people that help with the tutorials etc without them I for one would be stuffed. I do not care who they are or are not associated with. Just glad they help.

Perhaps we should try to get this forum back to what it was rather than a knocking shop lol before we drive off all the guys and girls that give up their time to help others.

My A780 is still down am running 030120111 bin file should I try to find and download the kryptview_a780_24032011.bin file?

having a job finding it.

My SV7 is working but prefer my A780 as it is not so glitchy and does not have intermittent signal break up like the SV7.

 

that file should be fine on kv have you rebooted box modem and router to get an ip address
power off for 30 secs then on and wait,it may take a bit of time due to everybody connecting.



dont use s/w update as it overloads the server if you need to flash box there are plenty of links around


for all the newbies how long have you been involved with any box,tinkering i mean not mass selling,i started off with sv1 and moved away from them after they started bringing out new boxes.there are now 7 starviews and hd combo for cable and the newer starviews are bought with a 1yr connection hopefully,it was not a rumour but fact many early boxes were switched off,sv6 and sv7 luckily now added a bit more time with new firmware and says 12 months.
kryptview 700 does not work as not n3
750 and icon work
780 works
dw800 not fully a kryptview not working
it was never said how long you get on connection to lan

if you spend 5 or 6 years reading and answering questions you get to know the pros and cons with all boxes,all the info is available if you want to read back.

final point we get a buzz from helping all who want it on any forum and its up to you if you want it and no we dont get paid lol
