The SV doesnt work in Ireland

 

so I would be correct i saying that there is no way in using cs with a cable signal in Ireland?

 

using a dreambox C and sharing amongst friends, but not using a cable box like the SV etc

 

starview 7 no av out from scart, hello to all, i wonder if anyone has come across this problem, the fuse blew in the plug and when it was replaced when you swith it on the screen goes blank for a second or two then nothing, everything lights up on the box/receiver, and i can use the remote to change channels but nothing, i,ve tried connecting it with an r.f lead bit still no output from box. any help would be gratefully appreciated. many thanks jon.

 

You would have to ask why did plug fuse blow. Usually caused by surge in electrical current or
short-circuit. Could your box have got wet or is there something you forgot to mention

 

simple....press the av button on your starview remote

 

hi, thanks for the reply, the reason am pretty sure it went off for was the fact someone gave me a shaver type plug and it was only 1amp thats what i think caused it but it refuses to come through either av/scart or the rf cable am wodering if its been spiked. your thoughts and ideas are really appreciated. many thanks jon.

Hi im thinking of getting this starview 7 can anyone tell me if this is easy to set up and stream channels ? my router is close to the tv so i dont need a wifi bridge just ethernet cable is this correct ?

 

yes that's correct. If you follow E45's instruction's for Stvu 6 you should have no problem

 

eamo too or can anyone explain i have set up everything n ready to go but i need to know how to download on to flasdrive ? and is it the top link from e45 ? wich i tried but not to sure how to go avout it

Just click on link Starview 7 firmware under E45's signature,that will take you to Carling1.03
firmware download. Copy it to USB-stick & then transfer to box using USB-stick.
Before you do anything click on E45's link Starview 6 tutorial & read it fully. It's the same
procedure for Starview 7 set-up

 

eamo_too thx but i have got to the firmware carling 1.03 but when i download file i cant get it to the usb stick sorry for sounding dumb but i never used a stick before do i use 4 shared ?

 

Save Carling 1.03 to your DESKTOP when you download it. Insert Usb-stick into port on P.C. Then right-click Carling 1.03 symbol on desktop, scroll to SEND TO and select USB-DRIVE. Carling 1.03 will now be copied to your Usb-stick

 

eamo2 almost there i have got it on desktop but when i right click to send theres no usb stick showing to send it to ?

When you right-click on 1.03 symbol & scroll to send to look at options. Then safely remove
Usb-stick. Now when you right-click 1.03 symbol & check send to options one will have gone.
Now insert Usb-stick to P.C. and you will get one new option on send to options. It may be
named mass storage device or removal disc. This is your Usb-stick, so send to it.
