All ok here in Oxford, ss1,2,3 & ssn, espn, Still No ss4, normal glitching still happening as well on certain channels more than others.
you have a lead problem or your live feed Has been cut off. 1st job check all leads are nice and tight in the back of the box and the router. If that fails do a direct feed with the virgin line (No splitters). Make sure your scanning your correct area if you have done a factory reset. If none of the above work take the box round a friend's house who Has a virgin tv sub and try it there. Its a problem your end not krypt's mate. P.s What system firmware is on it?
Thanks for the replies everyone. I'm going to check the leads and do a factory resest and auto scan now. I'll let you know later (fingers crossed)
well its all gone teeside, rebooted and it came back for 10 secs went again came back for another 10 secs then vamoosh gone
Ok now I'm confused! Kv wouldn't scan at mates house. Tried it in house with vm, it sort of worked. Got fta and a few others, tried sly sp1,,,,nothing! Logged on here and then after 4-5 minutes, sly sp1 came on. Oh bugar!!! Now it's off again!!! Well it's on and off. Now if I take it back to my mates house and it doesn't work, does that mean vm have cut him off? And if so, why? Thanks again Tongs and everyone
deffo sounds like a vm problem now if it came on at yours and went off and also reports of problems elsewhere. think your first problem was due to leads mate now it sounds like your stuck like everyone else
Yeah got it working but wont work in my mates house. Just says "scrambled or no video" and then "no or bad signal". What do I look for on vm website? Cheers lads
sounds like your mate has been cut off. when you scan at his isnt it finding anything? just re read through your problem and it deffo sound's like your mate is cut off. i can explain why, its because he probably has no sub with virgin if he doesnt then he probably had a live feed for a while as they dont totally cut you off but if they need to make some space on his street for a paying sub customer they will just plug the plug on his
Just what I feared tongs. He cancelled his vm after being ripped off! He seen workmen outside by the cable box on the corner a few days ago. Is there a way to get reconnected without subsribing? I got a box a few yrs ago and the lad who set it up for me said he was just going around the corner to switch us on. Dont know if it was BS though!!
lets start from the beginning. your mate had virgin but cancelled his sub coz he was sick of being ripped off but his kv was stiil working. virgin basically killed everything on his virgin box apart from freeview, the krypt can take care of that as long as he has a virgin feed and an internet connection. now to me it sounds like he hasnt got any feed whatsoever and he is totally cut off. no engineers are in on it. your just gonna have to tell your mate you have no virgin feed so your buggered. sorry but thats how it is
as long as you have a live a feed then the krypt takes care of it all. but you need the virgin cable wire live

There must be a way of getting him connected again...? (without a sub)
Nice one tongs. There must be a way of getting him connected again...? (without a sub)[/quote] not without a virgin feed. not possible im afraid
how many times has it been said to pay a sub,you get a signal then, dont pay then expect the unexpected.sad but true as they are not going to leave live feeds open as they will be closed down.
