I think I would find someplace else to live or quit watching TV if I had to put up this crap all the time.UP/DOWN/UP/DOWN. That sucks.
knew it was a local issue, these boxs are up and down all the time, with either a local issue, such as the above, internet down, cable down, issue with work going on or upgrades, the vendors internet down, the vendors area down etc, the chans come back and it starts again, its part and parcel with these boxs, its either get on with it or take a sub out,
Why knock something that is for nothing,you could always go to starview and pay for your sub, how would you feel then when you have downtime or missing channels.
Its the merry go round of posts abut missing a chan here and this is missing there, I and others have said it from day one with these type of boxs, there is that much going on in between, there will be always something amiss, just grin, get on with it, enjoy what yer getting or.........take a sub out and no more issues,
I have been a little lazy & never did the last sw update so now my kv780 is down. No subs at all. I have tried several times over past few days to fix it but I am having no luck. Whey I request sw update the box restarts & then says requesting update then it says downloading update. Then it just stops like that. I have to unplug it after its been like that for several hours. I have tried this maybe ten or fifteen times with same result. Am I missing something? Or is there a way to apply this update via null cable & PC? When I factory reset I find all the networks and all the channels but they just remain scrambled. Any advice would be much appreciated.
re flash the box with this older firmware then try a sw update online all the info is under my name post num 14 http://forums.afterdawn.com/t.cfm/f-59/kryptview_a780-924219/
Thanks for replys, The link you gave me contains 24042011 firmware. I have that already installed. should I install an older one? please give me a link as I resently lost all my files after a hard drive failure.
most people forget to reboot network,as in box off at rear,modem and router for 30 secs then on ,give it a min to acquire network connection and then try updating by s/w.
Hi I tried that one & then an older one with no luck so I tried the 29112011 again & bingo! Haven’t checked all channels yet but sport1 & movie prem ok so thanks for your help
am just after fashing the my box with the 24/04/2011 firmware and could only get FTA cannels i then updated online to 26/04/2012 all working again. ph2kuk what firmware is on the box just now or did you update to the latest firmware online.
