unless you're building a drag car, that's too much engine. the weight would force the car to become unbalanced and too unstable for my favorite type of racing: road racing. i'd stick a 383 (at the most) in there, bore it .30 over or so, supercharge/turbocharge it, add a shot of NOS, and do some work to stiffen the frame, redistribute the weight, and increase the power. but it's all good; a kickass engine is a kickass engine....can't beat the 426, though...it's classic!
I own 2 Fords 1 is a 1996 Escort LX 2 door that my wife drives and has 117,000 miles and runs perfect. The other is a 1995 Ford AEROSTAR that I use for my computer business and to get my 2 kids and my dog around. Both of my brothers own ford trucks. One has 1997 F-150 that we use to pull his circle track race car which is a mustang, my other brother has a 1996 f-350 superduty 4x4 quadcab diesel he uses for work and my father owns a 1978 f-150 with a 351 windsor in it. So I really have no problems with fords, they work great for us, but I guess its al in how you maintain your vehicle.

actually the new Mustangs are pretty cool .nice clean lines like the muscle cars of old. i love to have one .The Carmaro will be coming back in 2007 cant wait for that.
Personally I think everyone should own a Ford at least once. Then and only then do you truly appreciate just how good everything else is. Here's my little beastie....
I'm too ashamed to post a pic of my car I drive a Ford Fiesta 1.3 ghia automatic - that has a personality disorder - it thinks its a kangaroo and hops everywhere.... Asked Taz for a straight swap but he said 'no'
@Mr_Taz_UK - OMG you still have original wheels. I had to ditch mine as soon as i got my 535i Sport as the tyres were literally £230 EACH as they are non-standard size (or metric or something). Anyway i bought a set of BMW replica hugely-deep dish wheels with types for less than the cost of 4original tyres, which don't show in the pic too well, but hey, the back of the car is the most impressive view of a 5series (especially as that's all the other road users would ever see of me!) Fastest thing i'd ever driven, 2nd gear would put you in orbit but back on topic, there's a ford fiesta in left of piccy, but i had to chop it out as piccy was too big
