Hey guys, I just registered to let you know I got my Simply in the mail today. I ordered from modchipstore and it was sent yesterday and I got it TODAY. I paid for the cheapest shipping possible, too.

Anyway, I thought I'd scan in the back of the box. I figured it might clear up some questions.

(Didn't want to post it in the message because it is a fairly large picture.)

It would be pretty cool if you could write up a review or even just your first impressions such as how easily it maneuvers through menus, compatibility with roms, and playback of videos. Let others know what you think if you get a chance. I can't wait to get mine!

Well, I spent most of the day trying to get the roms I wanted, I finally started using it moments ago, but alas it is time for bed. =\

I'll have to wait until tomorrow to work with it some more.

I just ordered my M3 DS Simply from Divineo and I anticipate recieving in a few days. I also got a Sandisk 1 Gig Micro SD card and an SD adapter from Pricewatch.com for about $30. Although I probably could have gotten a generic one for much cheaper, I have owned several Sandisk products in the past and feel safe with that brand. versus saving a few bucks and possibly running into a problem. I will post some input once I recieve my unit. I'm just as excited about getting the DS Simply as I was when I bought my Nintendo Wii. Lets hope its just as impressive as as the Wii has turned out to be.

I ended up playing some games last night before I fell asleep.

    So far I tried:

    0037 - Super Mario 64 DS (U) (Trashman).nds
    0090 - Nintendogs - Labrador & Friends (U) (Lube).nds
    0157 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 - Mutant Nightmare (U) (Trashman).nds
    0661 - Yoshi's Island DS (U).nds

They all worked very well. Yoshi's Island seemed to be going a bit fast, but I haven't played it before, so it might be the right speed.

The transfer rate of the roms to the microSD card is pretty quick via USB2.0. Filling up the entire 1gig card took about 2-3 minutes. (I wasn't really paying attention so figure +/- 30 seconds or so.)

The menus in the card are smooth, but as that review site said, they are very plain. (Not a problem for me though, I'm just interested in playing games.)

The only downer so far is that modchipstore had a Kingston SD card pictured in the item description and the one they sent me is a Transcend. It seems to be working fine, though, so hopefully it will stay that way.

I am very surprised at the amount of games that fit on a 1gig SD card. I think I have 23 games on there right now.

I'll post more after I have had more time to play around with it.

(Setting it all up was really easy, btw. All I had to do was copy the system files from the supplied CD and then drag/drop the roms I wanted.)

Thats awesome, Hempick. I am counting the hours until I can mess around with my new M3. I've read a couple reviews and it seems like everyone says the menus are easy to navigate and use of the card is really easy which means I have a running chance of figuring it out. Thanks for the heads up.

depends on how much "all i wanted" means. as you can tell a fair amount of games can go onto 1 sd. but then there's still stuff you might want to add like: music, videos, txt(for faqs/guides of course), homebrew, etc. so... who knows... buy the sd's one at a time to see if you really need to expand.

and how much space do the homebrew stuff take up

p.s. is the homebrew stuff like web browsers and stuff that you need more ram ro run well anyway. cause i'm really getting confused with homebrew and all that, please explain

by the way, anyone can add me to msn if they want to make it easier to talk, slayza_notherone@hotmail.com

Hey all, I tried a few other games yesterday and they all worked without any problems.

    They were:

    0005 - WarioWare Touched! (U) (Trashman).nds
    0047 - Rayman DS (U) (Brassteroid Team).nds
    0060 - Meteos (U) (Lube).nds
0076 - Star Wars Episode III - Revenge Of The Sith (U) (WRG).nds
    0168 - Mario Kart DS (U) (SCZ).nds
    0366 - Tetris DS (U).nds
    0764 - Star Wars - Lethal Alliance (U) (Xenophobia).nds

The save files for the games have all worked so far. The first time you play any game on the M3Simply, it asks you if you want to create a save file. You can either press A to create one, B to choose a different game, or X to ignore creating a save file and play the game anyway.

So far every save file created by the Simply is 512KB, so if you have 20 or so games on your card, you'll need to leave a little room for the save files.

The touch screen works perfectly with every game I have tried, so far.

That is all I have for right now. I haven't tried MP3s or videos yet, but I might in the next day or two.

I received mine on Friday and have ran through most of the first generation DS games and all have worked perfectly so far including the J and E roms.

I decided to try Castlevania Portrait of Ruin last night and ran into my first issues. The first time the game froze when first booting during the scence where the game tries to create the save file.

The next time through, the game froze when trying to use what I can only assume was a save point. It was a large glowing green tablet that you had to press Up on the d-pad to use.

Other than that, I can relay that at least roms 0001 - 0100 all work perfectly.

I can confirm that all the below work perfectly.

0573 - Mario Vs Donkey Kong 2 - March of the Minis (U)(WRG).nds
    0613 - Children of Mana (U)(EvlChiken).nds
    0615 - Contact (U)(Psyds).nds
    0628 - Touch Detective (U)(PsyDS).nds
    0630 - Scurge Hive (U)(PsyDS).nds
    0644 - Pokemon Ranger (U)(Legacy).nds
    0655 - Elite Beat Agents (U)(Trashman).nds
    0687 - Gunpey (U)(Legacy).nds

So far Castlevania PoR is still the only game that has had even a slight issue.

Everyone is refering to these games in a number format as above (eg 0687 - Gunpey) what is the first number a reference of? Is this a Nintendo reference or the number appended to the .nds file you are downloading?

I use Torrents to d/load, but I havent got a Simply yet, as i was waiting to make sure all worked fine and find out what supplier to order from.

Davino had the pre orders, but what i have found is most other stores can deliver quicker.

    Look forward to replies.

You could do a Google search for NDS roms or you could put some wwws in the front and a com on the end of Nintendo-ds-roms "Hint Hint."

I ordered mine from modchipstore.com. Placed the order on Wednesday and had the Simply on Friday morning.
