Hello everyone.... 2 weeks ago I bought a motorola c650 and bought the Mobile Phone tools to download ringtones, wallpapers, etc. Thing is while I got it connected to my PC the main screen (of the cellphone) got blank and then some codes and senseless letters appeared... Since then I got my phone corrupted and can't even use it. Went to Motorola to get it repaired but here in Argentina there no programs or antivirus for cellphones yet (or so they say) so my phone's dead...Any ideas if I can reset it, change sim card or something that can let me keep the c650, or do I have to buy a new one??Thank youu!!!

Hello everyone. I have probles with connecting my phone too PC.
I have c975 and cable. I downloaded MPT 3.25b and WinXP SP2. As i heard there is no c975 in MPT yet but it is possible to manualy chose e1000 and connect as if c975 was e1000. But. After i installed MPT. Updated to 3.25b and plooged in my Phone XP sayed that he found new usb device and started to look for driver. I waited but he was doing this for halfan hour. I closed it. Replooged my phone and chosed in MPT e1000 menualy. After that he tried to inicialize but failed.
Does anyone here was able to make it work on XP SP2. I think problem is that he cant install Motorola modem or something. Canany one tell me how to install iton XP SP2 pleees.

To make the MPT to work just fine with your phones the modem must be installed on the computer. So you will have to download the P2K Drivers for WinXP SP2.The driver that winxp sp2 install for motorola phones it is not good and it is obvious that it will say Initialising on the main screen of MPT.If you do not know how to install MPT and make it work just read this tutorial : http://www.ic.sunysb.edu/Stu/cdigiamo/tutorial/v220/ .Even if it is made for Motorola V220 i am sure that it works fine with another phones too. Just read carefully. If you need a server where to download the softweare use this : http://www.free.cz/motorola/

I got it to work it to work with v3.25, no more initializing forever.
So now I'm trying to install games and that's an even bigger failure.

Just read the tutorial and you will know how to do all these things.
About the eror for mmpt 1.23c try to redownload the program and to reinstall again. If the problem persists get another version of softweare.

Now when i plug in my phone Windows tells that thereis unknown usb device and trys to install a driver for it. But when she starts to search for it. you can wait a looong time for it.May be i didn done somethin right with install?

    Here's a question that I don't think has been asked yet -

Before I had MPT, I stupidly tried to connect my v3 via usb. Windows tried to have me install the new "hardware", but of course I didn't have a driver or anything. It then gave the "no software found" window (or something similar). I, being mentally retarded, clicked Finish before I noticed that a box that said something like "NEVER TRY TO INSTALL THIS HARDWARE AGAIN" was checked.

Now when I try to have my computer recognize my phone, I can hear the "do-do" noise it makes when you connect a usb device, but nothing more.

My question is this. Did I completely screw myself over, or is there an easy fix that I'm to stupid to figure out on my own?

    hi,

you guys really know what you are talking about. I was told that if I got an "update" for my v600 that It would work a lot better. Can anyone tell me where I can get this as a download to put on my computer so I can send it by blue tooth to my phone?

    thanks

I have a moto v710, the mpt 3.25b and the usb cable. Everything is working fine and sychronizing but how do I transfer pictures and sounds. The help guide says something about a media center but my mpt doesn't show anything of that sort.

I have a motorola v3 and I have downloaded the mobile phone tools using the cd that comes with the phone, i'm trying to create a ring tone using a mp3 I downlaoded to my computer, I have gotten as far as selecting the start and finish section of the song and saving it. FYI when I tried to save it as is (mp3) I got an error cannot create file so I changed it to a wav, but now I'm getting (mp3 codec may be inappropriate or missing). I recreated the song and tried transfering without saving and get the same error. Can someone please help me, I have done this at the office without any problems so why don't it work at home?

There is also another site which is very simple but extremely effective.
Check out http://www.sunflare.tk , and you will find not only games and programs for S60, but also a small guide how to use them!

Hi all... the information here has been very useful, so thank you to everybody for the links to the software and drivers.
I'm using a V220, and I got the USB drivers and Mobile Phone Tools installed. Last night I had it up and running perfectly, transferring photos from my phone to computer and the reverse. But today, as soon as I open the Multimedia Studio, the computer loses connection to the phone. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software, restarted the computer, and the results are the same each time. To the best of my knowledge I haven't changed any settings from using it last night and having it work, and using it today and having it not work. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Ah... I'm sorry if this double-posts... I thought I should add that I am still able to transfer calendar and phone book info from the phone to the computer... the phone and computer really are connected, but that connection drops as soon as I open Multimedia Studio.

    Thanks a lot again!
