I know you would get it write off, thats why I left the link. It is basically like a stew, beef, lamb, chicken what ever, with rice, peta ete. Really good stuff and really simple.

Any new Mexican dishes to guess at?

Fattah sounds really good although I'm not familiar with some of the ingredients - mastic, cardamom and ghee. Are they different names for common spices or are they exotic?

How about a change from Mexican to Filipino. My sister in law is Filipino and makes a wonderful treat called "siopao". Any guesses?

I unintentionally mislead you with the word treat. I think of them as a treat because I don't get them very often :)

It's a lunch or dinner type of food and served hot.

Does it have a pastry component? Like a meat filling in a pastry like enclosure.

Damn you're good. You just about nailed it. It's a steamed pork bun that is very good to eat. The bread is real soft and moist from the steaming and the pork inside has a sweet BBQ type sauce on it. It's making me hungry right now - off to dinner!

When you said that "they" are surved hot for lunch, it reminded me of an Indian triangle thing with pork inside. Very good, spicy hot and heated. So I thought it would be something similar.

A little larger than a tidbit?

Can be eaten any time of the day. Fresh ones are the best, but I have eaten 5 day old ones siting in brothers pickup before. And I am still alive.
