I thought thats kinda inevitable after wha ti said.. i think its as good as dead now anyway, and i wanna stay on topic although its me whos wandering....
So its not even msn, its windows messenger? A question. I reently seen people using text wrap tages, like you do on forums similar to this one. You know, Is this a new thing? Does it only work on messenger plus, or is it for live messenger?
It's pretty much MSN messenger just a change of name and it works within Live! not the previous vesions.
i just tried msn 8 live messenger (beta) as it's supposed to let you integrate yahoo contacts too. i'm logged into yahoo via linux (using gaim) and can clearly see one of my contacts as being online; also logged into normal yahoo on windows and the same contact is online. yet in msn beta that user doesn't show up as being online. pah, well it is a beta version...uninstalling....
Why Beta? It's stable now. And I think MSN always allowed you to sign in using a different email address AND view those contacts (with different email addresses), that's what I used to do before for my gmail account.
i've reinstalled msn live messenger 8, this time i haven't installed the bit that's needed to integrate yahoo stuff, that bit's beta according to microsoft. it's my own fault for using microsoft. now it's not working at all, hurummph
I only use it to talk to my aD mates, Phantom69 doesn't come here anymore so thats the only way I can talk to him and others. Same for a few others, what I must admit is sad is how people randomly add me and talk, though I have no idea who they are...the method of telling 'em to f@@koff and deleting them works great

I don't think you can customise your screen name that much. I've got msgplus live and that certainly doesn't help.
U can. Just click on personal settings and next to where you change ur screename, click format codes.
Oh sorry, I thought you meant if you can enter format codes in the personal message, screw up As for MSG Plus Live! features- Let's see: Being able to send customised sounds. Log into multiple email accounts (not just Hotmail) RSS feeds, when a new one is posted you get the toaster alert. Multiple scripts you can download. Messenger Lock. Event Logging. Tabbed Chats (gotta love that) Chat Logging. Log Encryption. Quick Texts. Personalised Status. Events Notification. There's no harm in getting it anyway, it's worth a try atleast. edit-- BTW Window Live Messenger now has the feature to change your contacts names so in case they have messed up screen names like "$hít blah blah#@;'# ;'lz" you can rename it to their real name so it is easier for you to figure out who is who. Plus it keeps the contact list nice and clean
