Ok, so plug in DVD drive and that whirls into action!
Open Nero Video, Create Disc, DVD, DVD-Video, Import, Import Files Video imports fine, just over 2gb.
    NEXT
    Change Title and Clip title
    NEXT
Can Preview the video from Preview yes.
    NEXT

See attached file for the outcome!

What does "Change Title and Clip title" mean?

When you import your file, click on Options, Recording Format Options. Is the Video Mode in the General tab set to PAL? I think you're in a PAL region.

Yup in the UK so set to PAL.
See attached for the names i change, nothing fancy at all.

Just did a complete uninstall and then install from the link again sent from Nero and still nothing. Interestingly, look at the other screen grab. Its like the DVD drive doesnt think there is a DVD in it. I have tried 2 different types of DVD, Verbatim and Phillips, both DVD-RW+, both ones ive used plenty of times in the past but not with this dvd drive.
So im now thinking its not Nero that is the issue but either the drive or the DVD's?

Where did that first screen shot come from?

Open Make Advanced Movie. Add the Flower Meadow video to the timeline. Click on Next and select Create a Disc, DVD, DVD-Video. From the Content screen, click Next. Accept the default menu and go to the burn screen. Does it see your drive?

Open the Windows Defender Security Center.

In the Virus and Threat Protection settings, select Exclusions. Select File. Browse to this path-

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Nero\Nero 2017\Nero Vision\NeroVision.exe and select it.

I guess you have the save your settings. Reboot. Try Nero Video again with the Flower Meadow.

Hi, so sorry that I just left this! Work just got crazy and all of this got put on hold.

    So, progress.... lack of.
When we started this thread I was using my Laptop./ I have since got a Desktop as well so moved my install onto that, but im using the same external hard drive as its a Dell micro with no drive. Can use Nero with the drive to RIP DVD's no issues so it can see it and use it as can the PC but I still have the exact same issue when I go burn. Now this may be a silly question, or may make us realise ive waste4d all our time... can all dvd drives burn? It seems the issue is the drive rather than the pc as it is happening on 2 different machines?

Im going to go with no, its not an RW DVD drive as I always thought it was, on closer looking the drive doesn't have RW any where on it so this must be the issue! Sorry for wasting so much of your time and thank you so much for trying to help me as you did.

What ddp is getting to, is that it may be a ROM drive which is for playback only.

Can you burn a DVD-ROM(UDF) from Burning Rom? Uncheck "Finalize Disc" in the burn options first so you don't waste a disc.

Also, did you try what I asked in post 30?

If you gave us the model number, it would be easy to find out.

Can you do the burn I mentioned in my last post?

It doesn't have a Model number, its some Generic drive I got a while ago.

I did reply, as much as I enjoyed the song, sadly no I cant see the Drive, i still just get Image Recorder. I have a new DVD RW coming tomorrow and hopefully this will resolve the whole thing.
