Hi Creaky Sorry to wake you up,GO5's are the real deal,I have always had good results with the ones I have purchased from my local PC shop,pack is green & Ritek branded. The last ones I bought from this supplier were the Fuji made discs but for some reason these are coded G05. Other discs used are Princo 4 speed and always get good results from these.Looks like I am stuck with another 50 discs that my LG does not like.I know you don't like Princo but Ihave good results yet they are also failing , this does not happen with the OEM Nero.
Hi Creaky When you say to close more stuff to free up memory? How? You are dealing with a PC dummy here,I do not multi task & I follow all of tips from you guy's on burning. So if you can lead me thru on how to do this.Does the Ultra use more memory than Express?
@oziwombat If burning is taking place, and there are errors at or near the end of your burns, either it's the media, the burner or you are burning too close to the end of the disk. Try setting your burns to a maximum of 4300 in Recode2. You did say that you had errors also at the beginning of your burn as well, so it tends to show bad media or the burner once again. Princo is the pits when it comes to media and is at the bottom of the scale. Maybe you should try some real quality media before going any farther and better yet, another program other then Nero to burn one that you know was a quality burn before. Again, IMO Nero is not causing your problem, it is software and the problem is hardware or media related.
Thanks Creaky Looks like I will go back to the OEM Nero until I get another burner. I now have around 130 Ritek[G05] discs on hand so it's cheaper to replace my LG & get a Ritek friendly burner. I am looking at the Benq 1640.By the way I never burn more than 4x & 4300mb I knew you did not like the Princo's but they work well for the grand kids & I use the Ritek[code fujifilm03] for my master copy's & I get very few coasters with either discs. There is not a big selection of media avail in Australia Thanks again
